Re: Wow new dash from Kitaco

I just bought another PCX 150 and the first thing I did was go to a Dollar Store and buy a cheap watch, which I took the band off of and tie wrapped to my handlebar. Now I have a clock on my PCX! For a minute there I thought the thread was about the new dash from Kitaco not the how to solve your cl...

Re: Wow new dash from Kitaco

Update post installation: I have had the new dash for awhile and really like it so far. I saw some questions about the mileage and whether it resets, it does start at zero and no way I can tell to manually program it. You could always get to an even number before replacing that and tracking that on ...

Re: Honda PCX Manual

OK, gang, a little update on the service manual from Sell.com. It arrived Saturday, July 13 via US Mail and is brand new and in excellent shape. Actually the manual was triple wrapped you might say. Excellent product and excellent service. Was delivered to me in about 7 business days just as was pr...

HS5 HID Kits are now available at this site for a good price. These will fit without any major modifications. HIDs are much nicer all the way around. Significantly brighter, make you way more visible to other vehicles, and look much nicer.

Re: Wow new dash from Kitaco

I had it installed by the shop I bought the scooter from. They said that all panels had to be removed. From looking at the pics in the directions, the factory plug works for the main harness and there is a separate wire for the tach and the battery levels. The thermometer is an optional attachment a...

Re: ok so here it goes

I like the tail mod, looks nice. the carbon is a nice touch where you have used it. I was thinking of using the carbon on my lower panels right and left side, just wasn't sure how it would look. I may give it a shot. Nice lookin scooter, thanks for the pics.

Re: Wow new dash from Kitaco

I ordered and installed the Kitako dash. It uses the same clear cover as the original dash and fits perfectly with no modifications needed. Having the tach built in to the dash as well as the added clock and ability to monitor the battery voltage is a plus. The different color options for the LEDs a...

Re: CVT mods for PCX 150?

I have moved up to the 16g Dr. Pulley Sliders and bypassed my FI controller. Results are solid. It is a better balance with the LV exhaust and the lower revs keeps the sound down even more. Acceleration is not as fast of the line as the 12g's were, but it is stronger mid range and increased top spee...

Re: CVT mods for PCX 150?

I have Dr Pulley Sliders but not on the stock variator, I have the NCY kit installed. From what I have seen and read, they would work fine with the stock variator as well.

Re: Wow new dash from Kitaco

I like the added features and info it provides. Wont need extra devices attached to/around handle bars for tach and other after market stuff. I would consider it. Thanks for the Heads up.

Re: leo vince corsa

The power gain answer: It feels stronger throughout the acceleration range but I lost a little top end speed, approx 5 KPH less after install. I am still working with the CVT to get the right balance to improve that, but it sounds so much better and I have no regrets. Stronger low and mid range but ...

Re: leo vince corsa

I put the LV Cobra SS on just this past weekend. It is loud, definitely have to use the silencer and it is still loud. The Corsa is rated just below the Cobra for DBs so it should be slightly lower in noise levels. I love the way the Cobra sounds, it is deep and loud, not high pitched. People will h...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc

IMG_0589.JPG Sendler, thanks for the reply. The tach is digital and designed for scooter/motorcycles. Not sure what that means. I will give it a few days to stabilize. I am just not sure that I have the transmission components fully balanced yet. It sounds great with the new exhaust. The shop think...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc

Update: I have the LV Cobra SS exhaust installed and a tachometer. Power feels good throughout but I have lost a few KPH on the high end, now only getting 105 to 110 max. I have the 12G Dr. Pully Sliders in with the NCY kit. RPM's at WOT on highway max at 4800. Should I go lighter or heavier with th...

Re: Orange running lights

I purchased the LED's that replace the bulb and plug right in. It is a T10 wedge and you can find hundreds of styles to choose from. The ones I got have a nice blue tint to them and accent the bike well. There are other color options I saw while shopping for mine. Very cheap and a 2 minute install. ...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc

Update: I bypassed the SP Takegawa FI Con 2 and disconnected the battery to reset ECU. Rode the scooter for 5 kms checking acceleration and mid-range power. Plugged the FI CON 2 back into the loop and there is definitely better mid range power from the FI Con 2 than with the ECU managing the fuel ou...
