Re: speed

I manage to push the bike up to 97 mph but the electronic speed barrier got on! Conditions were favourable (downhill & tailwind). As for the sing which says "Gas In 167 Miles", well, that's scary! ..........WOW, i wish my Forza was blessed with your speedometer. I'm flat out at 81mph,...

Re: What are your positives/negatives about the Forza?

It was a short summer here in Alberta, Canada, so i barely put 2000 miles on the scoot, but they were good miles. The reliability and balanced performance of this machine amazes me. Gas mileage: i average 85mpg, all while riding it pretty hard most of the time. Handling: as many have mentioned, its ...

Re: Rear Shocks/Springs Adjustable on Forza

...........the rear shocks adjust rather easily. You may be able to do it without that wrench. Wear heavy rubber gloves for a better grip when you twist. Or borrow the wrench from your dealer. My shocks were set about half way when i got the bike, so i put them at their softest. I did notice a bit o...

Re: Comfortable Crusing Speed?

............a consistent 75mph is a lot to ask from a 280cc single cylinder, esp if riding two up. That passenger, sitting up there in the wind, is going to slow things down when you are pushing a wind. Any wind. For myself, riding alone, i consider 70mph (prolonged cruising) to be pretty much all t...

..............the PCX seems ideal for your situation. But only if you can get the Forza out of your head.
If you actually have the bucks, and you've got the Forza stuck in the back of your brain, your just gonna eventually wish you had gotten it.

Re: oil filter

..........Honda sells them for $20 here in Canada, and i was told by the parts guy that that's a steal compared to some of their filters. But you need to change them at every oil change. That's every 3000km right? Which is about every month. So there goes $20 for the filter and $15-$20 for the oil (...

Re: Strongly considering Forza, just took first test ride.

........way to go! What decided you on the Forza? What does this bike most represent to you: -jack of all trades machine (one bike stable/want it to do everything) -great errand/task machine. Jump on this instead of a gas guzzler to do the errands/light shopping -commuter: re the bike as a major wor...

Re: Strongly considering Forza, just took first test ride.

.........i'm a bit curious as to why you would trade down from a silver wing to a forza. Not that i don't think its a good idea. But it would indicate what tradeoffs you are willing to make. If you want better gas mileage, and want it bad enough, and want quicker handling as well, then the Forza's p...

Re: 2014 Honda Forza US Freeway Speeds

........yeah, wind is the clincher here, for both speed and mileage. 90% of the bikes in southern alberta are large displacement V-twins for just that reason. When getting ready for a ride here we don't look at the weather forcast for rain, but for wind speed. Most of my riding is on 100kph access r...

Re: FORZA VIBRATION ISSUE: update - help needed

I'm wondering if those of us who DON'T notice vibration, are old riders with lots of miles of riding old bikes from the 60's and 70's under our belts. I mean, them singles and twins vibrated. And this new stuff is smooth. My Forza......... its smooth. Try an old Triumph for comparison and you'll see...

...........basically still waiting to ride here in southern alberta - the weather has been that bad. Hope you do better out there. Most of June has been cold & wet, so i've only gotten about 700 miles on my Forza with most of that done the last week of May.

Re: Will a Forza be the "ultimate" bike for me?

I'll go along with the opinion that, if you are going to be riding solo more than 90% of the time, that you pay close attention to what you yourself want in the way of performance and comfort. The Forza 300 is a marvelous machine for a solo rider. With its frugal single cylinder you can easily ride ...

Re: looking at a "used" forza vs. new

.......there's just something about that new car smell. Even with a bike. Then there's the matter of those break-in miles. Probably not so important today, but back in the day a tight new engine needed special attention. Now we have special alloys, water cooling, better tech in general.

Re: looking at a "used" forza vs. new

........the used Forza sounds like a good deal if, like the others say, the dealer would come down a bit more. If there are no ABS brakes, he should. But one thing you got to remember is how personable a bike is. By this i mean, when you are the first owner the bike has your brand. It is 100% yours....

Re: CLIFFS OF THE S. SASK RIVER

In the former shot, with the cliffs, you can see the layers of strata (including coal seams) representing many millions of years of history. Here is another shot where a red cliff face is evident. I am told it is composed of clay that was compressed in the distant past and heated to the point of par...

Here in Canada i paid $5850 (cn$), which included the ABS, plus $300 setup/shipping
