Roller weights an peak power and torque

Searched around the threads last night looking for the "perfect" accelerating RPM's but couldn't find anything conclusive. I'm testing out "11" gram rollers in My NCY setup and the rpms jump can jump to now 8500 when I whack the throttle. Is that past the peak power and torque of...

Re: Hi everyone... NCY Variator kit?

I just put a combo of 12 and 10 gram rollers in mine and changed the belt. Not sure about that combo. I whack the the throttle now and I get 8350 to 8450rpms for take off and the same out of corners. I remember Scooterman or Sendler referencing roughly 8000 rpms for stock tuning, but I don’t know if...

Have you done any upgrades to your PCX or are they both stock?

Re: FWIW, My PCX compared to Stock Forza observations

Personally I find the Silver wing ugly and bloated looking, not that it's not a good machine. My friend has one and swears by it. Yuminashi has a full on 175cc kit that includes everything you need for the PCX. maxtremo on youtube says it's a rocket. Lots of work but a possible altrnative. I haven'...

Re: FWIW, My PCX compared to Stock Forza observations

There's 2002 Silverwing near me that I was considering taking a look at also. Of course that's going into the full on touring scooter arena, but maybe that's the better alternative if I'm really going to put some longer highway miles in with a twist'n go. I would settle for my bike setup the way it ...

FWIW, My PCX compared to Stock Forza observations

I rode a stock Forza yesterday just to see if the extra power was worth investing in for some longer touring. I was sorely disappointed. It's definitely a nice refined machine, but it didn't fit me at all. My knees were above my waist and there really wasn't much more leg room on it. It was like rid...

[quote="k2apache6.0"]Your rear tire will throw off the speedo, how much it's hard to say, you can use the Tacoma tire calculator to compare but with a 140 on that skinny rim the shape will not be the same. The circumference will likely be more than the calculator shows due to pinching in o...

Re: Overdue Installs and reports

Can't find my extra rollers, so the new belt will wait til next weekend Did a 1 hour Cruise last night on rural highways and have to say the new suspension and tyres have really changed the character of the bike. It sits taller now so I have yet to scrape the centerstand since I mounted them, even t...

OK, what grinding bearing noise are you referring too? My scoot makes some noises for sure. Am I missing something?

Re: Overdue Installs and reports

Just Just did a 20 mile round trip on Highways and I-74. Feels so much more stable with the larger(more mass) tires at 60-65, even in cross winds. Rides way smoother too. Well worth the very slight loss in acceleration and fuel economy. I have extra rollers to experiment with, so will try them when ...

Re: Overdue Installs and reports

I also just installed a set of YSS XLs... really impressed so far, but now I notice the front seems soft. I'll be interested to see how the emulators work out, I've used similar items on other bikes very successfully. I'm also interested in the wider tires.. any fender adjustment needed for that si...

Overdue Installs and reports

Finally got to riding the scoot again, so wore out the rear tyre and took it to the shop for new!(Bought the stuff 3 years ago or so). Michelin City Grip 140/70/14 rear and 120/70/14 front. YSS Shocks with XL springs (70 to 110kg riders). Tyres and the increase size are huge improvement. 26psi front...

Re: How Many Watts is the PCX 150 Charging System? Over 300?

Are there any LED replacement headlight bulbs that anyone has successfully used on the 2013 150? That won't melt anything! I would like to do that, and install floods of some type like Mels, and the lower draw all around would be nice.

Thanks, but she finds the top box difficult when getting on.
Put it on the Centerstand and let her get on first.

Re: How Does the PCX 150 Rate Carrying a Passenger?

If your going to ride 2 up, Get the tall Givi fairing and the NCY variator and faceplate, and toss in 11 or 12 gram rollers. We can cruise at 55 handily (granted we only weigh 280lbs combined). You'll need the added acceleration with the extra weight. Tires at close to max pressure too.

Re: 2013 150 Engine Mods?

Both the Daytona and NCY variators are 120mm with 14° drive faces, but the Daytona is considerably faster for me than for Vamootsman. This leads me to believe there is some final drive gearing change between scooters from different regions. The rear driven pulley maybe? Have you GPS's your speedo t...

Re: 2013 150 Engine Mods?

4V head from a Forza 125, the water holes will be for a 125 cylinder. Don't hold your breath. If they manage to get it and weld the water holes, relocate them it will still be problematic. Possibility? I think very small. Forza 125 is sold in Europe. Honda Europe price is next to insanity. 200cc, t...

Re: 2013 150 Engine Mods?

Takegawa is the only company that puts together 3 different packages. They do a full 170cc kit with injector, cam and basic preprogrammed ECU based on XYZ mods. Yuminashi you need to do some reading or speak to Danny or Bach Pham about what works best. But with Yuminashi you can go 164 or 175cc wit...
