Re: Burning oil after a change

1.5 QUARTS????? WHAT!!! It takes 800ML which is less than 1 quart. You are waaaay over filling it. Get a service manual. Do yourself a favor and buy a 1000ml measuring up. Drain the bike completely. Measure EXACTLY 800ml and put it in. Wonder if you permanently damaged your engine. Could have damag...

Re: Burning oil after a change

Are you using a measuring cup to refill the engine? How much oil is it burning every 1000 miles? I don't us a measuring cup I put a quart and a half in then run it, then add then run it then add until I get the level correct on the dipstick. Not sure how much it's burning thousand miles yet. I've p...

10,000 and wasn't using any oil before and no smoke coming out of the exhaust. Was thinking maybe I bugger'd up the filter or something when I cleaned and re-installed but that shouldn't do it either.

I cant imagine how just changing oil would cause the bike to burn oil. Is it smoking a lot? What weight oil are you using?
Doesn't make sense to me either. Using Honda GN4 in either 10-30 or 10-40, I don't recall which.

Burning oil after a change

So, I changed my oil myself this time for spring and decided to youtube it to make sure I didn't miss anything and ended up watching Jackwagon on the Revzilla instructions so didn't get all of the old oil drained out. I said to myself "oh no It must me using oil and I didn't realize it!" I...

Re: Hit 80 mph on my 2013 PCX (164 lbs rider, tucked, drafting behind behind truck)

Your at the top end without making more engine power. I can bounce on the limiter at 78 to 80 doing the same drafting an tucking but there's no more to be had without displacement increases and gearing changes and even rev limiter changes after that. On a sled the size of the PCX being able to cruis...

Re: Standard Exhaust Mods 2021 pcx

Very cool video and info. If you did nothing other than modify the exhaust, your results may debunk some of the doubters that there's any power gains by doing so. Interesting for sure. Thanks for posting!

Re: Topbox/rack Load

I have ridden with 25lbs, and maybe more in my Top box and the same under the seat, sometimes at the same time. Of course it affects the handling, but you just need to be aware of it and not ride like a fool. The rack and box will hold the weight. Also remember that if you crash and the box comes lo...

Re: Tire recommendation?

I run my front City Grip 120/70 at 23-ish psi and the the Rear 140/70 at 28-30-ish. Never run the same PSI in a higher volume tire mounted on the same rims on the same bike of the same weight. You don't do it on Motos, Cars or even bicycles. My mechanic put them up to normal specs and the bike handl...

Handlebar alignment

Before I get the tools out and start playing, has anyone had any experience with aligning the bars, if it's even possible? The clamps are not at 90deg when going straight. Not sure how or when it happened or if I just never noticed it, but it's bothering me now. If anyone knows a fix for this other ...

I have mine mounting right in the middle of the bar clamps. I may have mounted upside down to make it work but can't remember. Works perfectly. Been using one since I bought the scoot.

Finished Saddle Mod and re-cover

De-humped, and sculpted with a mini finger belt sander from Amazon. You can see the rounded contour that I shaped on the last large rib. Also built the front hump up about 1-1.5 inches so I no longer slide off the front under hard braking. The difference is amazing. The ride quality is vastly improv...

Re: Acceleration test

My objective was more top end, not how fast I could get there. If you tune the CVT correctly, you can obtain great acceleration, and retain top end speed. The goal is to go as light as possible with the weights but heavy enough to get full Variator travel. Allowing the belt to fully travel, instead...

Re: Rear Brake surge

After my mechanic changed my tires and shocks, (and told me the rear brake pads would last forever on this thing), The rear brake feels like its grabs then lets go then grabs and lets go like an out of round drum on an old truck that need to be machined down. I took it back and he put new pads in i...

Re: Acceleration test

I have no idea. Maybe the app malfunctioned. Guess I'll have to go do it a few more times. I did it after about 5 minutes of riding so I know the belt wasn't very hot. Felt like the front wheel was going to come off the ground. Could be a fluke, or luck, or just perfect timing. Don't know for sure, ...
