Re: Honda Airblade 150

I did also own a Honda CB500X for a while again as a new model when it first came out. Another nice bi,e but lacking mainstand and 12V socket. It was nice having ground clezrance for off road and going o er curbs to park on pzvement sidewalks.

Honda Airblade 150

I sold my PCX 125 a while back in Tasmania to a lady rider there. I now live in Subic Bay Philippines for sailing and ride a brand new Airblade 150. Compared to the PCX125 its got a mainstand standard 12v socket and is keyless and alarmed. They have the PCX 160 here but the Airblade was significantl...

Re: Enclosed PCX in Tokyo

Hi Whitenoise, Yes Im still enjoying my CB500X. I was in Japan for a week and noticed many scooters with roofs there, not just the PCX. I was surprised not to see many motorcycles there though. Anyway Im glad to share the photos of the PCX with a roof. My last day in Tokyo it rained all day so would...

Re: Honda CB500X

Mine is a Jan 2014 model and did not need the 600 mile Valve clearance check. Has to be done at 16,000 miles now.

Honda CB500X

Hi all Its been a year or since being on the forum and over a year since I traded in my 125 for a CB500X. Good to see You You is still around seeing it was my typo that named him! So Im still loving the CB500X. I chose the white one as my PCX was white. Being 6'3" the X fitted me without doing ...

Re: Honda CB500X

I noticed that when i fitted my +25, very unstable in high crosswinds but still worth it overall. my acceleration improved with the ermax did you notice any changes? I think my top speed increased a tad. And bike felt bigger. Also I got more nods and waves from other bikers with the big windscreen ...

Re: Honda CB500X

One more observation on my PCX with stock screen on again after taking off the ermax +25. It handles cross winds way better than when having the tall screen on!

Re: Honda CB500X

My PCX must know its about to be traded in. Its always behaved itself for 2.5 years but this morning on my commute there was a big traffic jam due fog so eventually the idle stop cut out and wouldnt restart. Had to do a one hour walk home and get the cage and jump start it using jumper leads! I chec...

Re: Honda CB500X

By the way the CB500X mainstand is AUS$145 whereas the Vstrom mainstand I was quoted AUS$450 which is robbery! And the Vstrom dealer quoted labor to install that and a topbox, no labor charge for Honda. So the Honda ended up thousands cheaper than the Vstrom. Sorry Forza was never a contender ;). An...

Re: Honda CB500X

Well I finally did the deal and am trading in my white PCX 125 for a white CB500X with topbox. Also had to order the mainstand as an 'accessory'. Anyone wanting my PCX ermax +25cm tall screen send me a PM. I also got pricing for a Suzuki Vstrom 650 and the Honda is way cheaper and enough power for m...

Re: Honda CB500X

I think because up to 650cc is Learner Legal here so the demand for bikes 700-999cc is not great. If you learnt on a 650 why go to a 750 next? So the NC700X didnt even make it to Oz and dont see any announcement of the 750X here either. In any case the 500X is 30kg lighter, has over 3 litre bigger f...

Re: Honda CB500X

As of this year Honda has waived the valve clearance check for the 500. You wont convince me to get a Forza. Its just not designed for tall folk. Now the 750 sounds interesting but cant see when it will be available here. When I was young and living in Blighty I had 2 CX500's and before those a CB50...

Re: Honda CB500X

Hi GN2 Have you any links or images of folk doing humpectomies on the Forza? My quick look at a dealer indicated there were metal lugs that would need to be ground down. Bear in mind its not so much about raising the seat but being able to sit further back where the backrest would be. Easy on the PC...

Re: Honda CB500X

Hi guys Ive been off the air for 6 mths sorting out by biz life. Still riding the PCX each day but am getting close to trading it in for a CB500X. Im 6' 3.5" tall and the Forza is too small for me whereas my PCX fits with the easy humpectomy mod. Anyway I sat on a 500X and it fits me with no mo...
