Re: It's gone

These are the chains you want. I have a 16mm one with squire lock on mine, along with disc lock and a Abus Granite Extreme D - Lock. The chain is locked through the rear wheel and through a chemically fixed wall anchor. I don't want the barstewards nicking my scoot :D Expensive defence system yes, b...

Re: pcx 125

Glad your not injured. Theres a very good chance that they will write that off though, they did mine, even though it was just cosmetic damage. That plastic cost's a fortune you know, especially when insurance companys have to go through Honda for replacement parts. Maybe source the parts your...

Re: Taking your test. Or not.

Do it and get rid of the plates of shame. :D Do the A1 light as Iceman has suggested with no geared bikes involved. Thats what I did, but I needed to do it so's I can carry the Mrs on the back when we are on our travels. The pcx goes in the back of our motorhome.

Re: down the day before my birthday

Yeah thanks guys. Already on the list I'm afraid and I am back on the road with a new scoot after last one was a total loss. Hmmm, just cosmetic damage and they right the bike off. Plastic is very expensive I would say, especially when it has to come from Honda. Hey ho. Depends on locale and rip-of...

Re: What tire did you off on?

I had IRC on the front and a city grip at the rear when I had my off a couple of weeks back. Not blaming the tyres at all, more the bastard that pulled right out on me at close range, I had no chance.

You can be as careful as you like, but you can't legislate for a twerp in a white van pulling straight out on you as happened to me last Wednesday. Bike looks in sorry state, my leg is in plaster and I'm struggling just to get around. The guy who pulled out on me was on his way after the police had...

Re: L plates on PCX 125 in UK

Mines in the same place - if and when I lose the plates of shame (as GN2 would say) I wonder how easy it would be to get off without damage to the perspex - it's been stuck on over a year now. I once undone the rear L plate to fit some rubber things (as it would vibrate against the supporting plast...

Re: Passed an accident on my way in involving a bike

Unusually for the time I come in to work on a Sunday (10.30pm) I reached a point where there were several lines of queuing traffic. Being on the scooter I could filter between them until I reached a larger roundabout and saw what the trouble was - a car had had a collision of some sort with bike ri...
