Okay, there's something definitely catastrophically broken with my PCX.

I put the old stock 18g rollers back in there with the NCY variator. No change, and pulling rpms are at 8900, which would suggest that the transmission isn't shifting at all.

I figure right now the best course of action is to stop screwing with it, buy whatever bolts and screws I might be missing, and just sell it as is. Maybe I can at least get a grand for it in the pathetic state it's in.

Well the belt swap was only good for one run. Same problem, maybe even slightly worse(60-62 mph instead of 65 like the last time).

My speed went up to 72 mph before the problem popped back up again.

Might be a belt related issue, but the belt itself isn't the problem.

The belt had no obvious signs of wear, but upon changing the belt, my stand speed went from 70 mph to 76 mph on the speedo, which still means roughly 72 mph actual top speed. I don't ride off road, would probably slip if there was gravel on the road, and the belt is a Daytona Kevlar belt. One might think there'd be a few nasty reviews of it if it caused problems. I'm thinking it rubbed against the back case pretty bad and probably caused some sparking for quite some time...
