Re: Chinese Belt broke big time

Two thoughts:
1) You should have died.
and B) Forza does not weigh 500 lbs, you're just old.
But a great story!
Long, but with one restroom break, and a cookie - I stuck with the whole enchilada.

Halloween, Policeman & big Trucks

Not many kids riding the school bus these days. That 'wondering?' youngster is wearing a mask. https://i.postimg.cc/fRJrbJZV/P1130037.jpg Village policeman patrolling the alley back here stopped and watched me for a time. After several years, they're pretty used to finding me with a scooter and a ca...

Are your mirrors too short?

See what I noticed one day...? I had to go to those horrible billet mirror "extenders" in order to see behind me on my Forza. They look like Chinese add-on cr_p. Then I noticed that the mirrors on my son's CBX500 Honda were exactly like mine - but with a longer stem! I ordered a pair of th...

Great Labor Day weather brought out the bikes!

Into my coffee village with the family today for lunch at my sidewalk spot - and farm market. I bet I saw nearly 100 two wheel folks in town, or riding through it. The ONLY rider which I saw not wearing a helmet.... was the guy riding this new 125 Kymco Agility, parked next to the nice Yamaha. (ther...

Riding out through town...

About 1hr before sunrise. Building on the right corner lost most of its ground floor windows during the recent protests in the street. https://i.postimg.cc/gcXtDD2h/P1120738-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/GhnKjnN0/P1120707-3.jpg City put some umbrellas over the new tables across from the bakery, Italian...

Re: More problems with AdMore High Output LED light bar

Would it be possible to remount the LED to a new DIY backing plate made from wood or plastic/composite and reinstall using angle brackets? https://www.homedepot.com/p/WeatherShield-1-in-x-4-in-x-4-ft-Appearance-Grade-Pressure-Treated-Board-275086/300573653 Outline the new backing plate from the exi...

More problems with AdMore High Output LED light bar

https://i.postimg.cc/QdrgQFJr/P1030032.jpg Last year the lens with the lights separated from the base while out riding. After an email and with proof of purchase AdMore sent me another light bar. This weekend I noticed that the left mounting was broken away. The light is two sections of plastic - w...

Stopped to say "Hey" to Brian this morning...

https://i.postimg.cc/V6pK9cpy/P1030023-2.jpg I didn't see him. Switched off the Piaggio and asked this guy, "Is Brian working today?" https://i.postimg.cc/ZKgMP6kB/P1030021-2.jpg He said, "Don't know - let me ask Hold The Cheese! ." "Hey, Hold , SpaceMan here wants to know ...

What's the matter with Pops?

Mrs. Fish: "How was your ride?" Fish: "Yeah. Fine..." Daughter: "What's the matter with Pops?" Mrs: "He thought it was going to rain..." I was all geared up for a nice rain ride. Rained north of me, and south of me. Sat on the Group W bench waiting for it........

Re: 6 foot on 2nd gen model?

It'll probably be less cramped than the original because the seat is higher relative to the footboards (and the ground) Your height is less of a factor than your leg length. Plenty review videos. Mr. Fish said he would buy one despite it being a bit small for him, but I believe he's a really big fe...

Re: Can a Honda Forza 300 engine break?

Can you rent a 300cc scooter and try your olympic category slalom course? Each time you need to slow for those very tight corners - you'll be 100% brakes. Engine braking will have just vanished at that slow speed. Brake disc warp might pay you repeated visits? Boiled brake fluid with air, now? Serio...

Re: Can a Honda Forza 300 engine break?

Nope, too steep, bends too tight, too often, too far!
A nice 300-500cc motorcycle with a set of gears is what you need.

great morning to be a scooter rider

Heat index will be high 90's today....ah but the early geezer gets a nice cool ride! Had to pull over because there were a string of 4 large, slow moving somethings trundling down my road. So many flashing lights I could not tell if one of them might be a 30ft wide farm thing with points....or what,...

Explaining algebra to a kid

My granddaughter asked.
I explained that it is a mysterious and unfathomable (to me) system which will answer questions like the following :
"If a bus is going 37mph headed for Cleveland, and it's snowing in Omaha - what color is the chicken?"
She seemed to buy that.
