Re: Another new PCX owner
Ride it like you are invisible to other traffic. bikers will see you, but many auto drivers will not, especially at night or at dusk or dawn. Car drivers look for two headlights coming before pulling out from a side street, you only have one. It might be better now, but I first started riding over 4...

Re: How cold will you ride?
I took about a 30 minute ride about 10 days ago when the temperature was about 33 degrees F. I wanted to see how my bright orange windbreaker and bright yellow/green hoodiy worked in cold weather. I was wearing long-johns under my jeans, a tee-shirt, then the hoody (spell?) then the windbreaker. I m...

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
Ok Scooterman, first thanks for all the research/testing. I have been trying to catch up here, but still have a few questions. Does your 2015 PCX still have the stock clutch (or whatever they call the rear assembly), and are you using the stock 2015 belt (it is slightly wider than the 2013 belt)? Al...

Re: Wrong spec engine oil used.
The jaso MB spec is what is difficult to find. MA is for motorcycles with wet clutches that share the engine oil. MB is for motorcycles that do not have the clutch running in the engine oil, like the PCX. From what I can determine MB is more than twice as slick MA oil. MA is designed to keep the clu...

Re: Technical help?
Bab, No the dealer I bought it from wanted $275 for the service, and had a BBB score of F, while the Honda/Yamaha dealer had a BBB score of A+. Almost wish I had done it myself, but after looking at the service manual, I was afraid I'd break some plastic taking it apart to get to the valves. Hope th...

Re: Technical help? PCX motor oil
Honda, in both the owner's manual and the 2013-2015 service manual recommends Pro Honda HP4M 4-stroke oil SAE 10w30 and JASO MB T903 or equivalent! I paid a local Honda/Yamaha dealer slightly less than $200 to do the 600 mile oil change and checkup. I see from the receipt that they put high performa...

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
Mine seems to hit the limiter at only 63mph. The 2015s are geared a little lower than the 2013s. I have to say I'm disappointed. 63 will not always keep up with Dallas freeway traffic speeds, even if 60 is the speed limit, to flow with traffic one has to drive 65-70 sometimes. The scoot is stable at...

Re: 2015 PCX 150 top speed
I'd bet that the stock 2015 would out run the 2013 until the speed reached 63 mph, when to 2013 would keep gaining speed till it reached 68 mph. I think the 2015 is just geared a bit lower than the 2013. the 2015 "final reduction" gears has 54 teeth, while the 2013 has 53 teeth. Also the 2...

Re: 2015 service manual...
The correct service manual is listed in your owners manual, along with the toll free number to call for credit card orders. I don't have my owner's manual with me, but when I called the guy assured me it was right. It was around $43 and with shipping or taxes came to about $49. It has both the 2013 ...

Re: 2015 PCX 150 top speed
It seems that the drive belt on the 2015 model is 0.02 inches wider then the 2013 model, which ends up giving it a slightly different final drive ratio. I don't really understand it, but I think it is something like 10.755 for 2015 versus 10.55 for the 2013. I am guessing that the 2015s reach max rp...

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
Hi, I was also wondering. I am 6ft. and weigh about 195lbs. My speedometer showed about 63 to 64 mph yesterday when it seemed to hit the limiter or something that felt like it started missing or running out of fuel. It only had about 570 miles on it. I have read somewhere that the PCX was limited at...

2015 PCX 150 top speed
From the 2013 and 2015 shop manual I see that they use a different drive belt on the 2015. I still have about 20-30 miles to go before I reach the 600 mile first service. Today, I got on the freeway for a few miles, and while I didn't impead traffic my new PCX did seem to limit top speed at about 63...

Re: Helm 2013-2015 150 PCX service manual due tomorrow onwar
I got one of these a few days ago. I am surprised how much difference there is between the 2013 and 2015 models. I think after trying to wade through some of it, I will just pay the dealer the hundreds they want to do the 600 mile valve adjustments, etc..

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?
I'm 72 and just bought a 2015 pcx at the end of July. Don't quite have 600 miles on it yet. Its' lots of fun to ride, mostly for short trips to a local store to pick up a small item. This is my 4th Honda bike, nothing bigger than a 500cc. I haven't ridden in about 20 years, and really enjoy not havi...

Re: No toolkit supplied with 2105 PCX150??
lad you asked, Tony. I was told the same thing, and only got the helmet loop in my "tool kit". I find it interesting that if one looks online at cheapcycleparts.com they list a toolkit that includes a spark plug wrench, an open end wench, and a screwdriver and handle in the parts list for ...

Re: 2015 PCX150 US
So never owned a bike or scooter of any kind, but have ridden before. Have done my research and decided the pcx150 is perfect for the city driving I'll do. I was going to get a 2013 and had a price of $3,000 otd. Not the best and it wasn't white, but I was okay with it. I said something about wanti...
