Re: 600 Mile Service in Progress

I have my shocks set very soft, and it's still pretty harsh... Until you get to 50-60mph. Then it feels like a big bike.

Mine should be at the bottom of my posts. While riding, I see between 63 and 71.

Re: New Forza 300 owner

When you get the Forza up to about 50-55mph, you get the plush suspension. It really settles down nicely.

Re: Forward attachment points for pillion cargo?

The uprights for the rack will work, but I'm looking at ideas for the passenger footrests (which I never use anyways)... Either to loop under them, or replace them altogether. Also considering them as a lower point for hard case frames.

I definitely like the concept. But most of the plastics are cheap enough that we could play with paint colors too.

Re: Tourmaster jackets...

I wear the Transition II jacket all the time. I don't care about whether or not it looks silly on a scooter, in fact a year or two ago I pulled up at a light on the Vespa, and somebody at the bus stop said "What do you need all that for on that little thing?". I like my skin, and I strongl...

That's about the way my wife rides. For me, the Forza will hit that very soon. First service is tomorrow, then it's game on.

Re: Using premium fuel

I have been pondering this here in the UK too. Standard is 95 octane where I live, and premium at Texaco is 97, and at Shell with their V-Power fuel is 98 octane. The manual I have says 91 is fine. Although given it's a 125cc bike, I very much doubt putting 98 octane in will see it performing side ...

Now for a real sort-of answer... Try places like Webike, Bikerzbits, and others. You might find what you're looking for, but probably in Thailand or Japan.

Re: Hit a pothole, handlebars look slightly off center. Help

I would think the wheel and/or tire would go before the steering alignment went. Doesn't help you much I know, but i'd do a very careful check of everything.

Re: Possible new scoot

For the price, we are looking at it as a step-up upgrade path for the Mrs. She wasn't comfortable with the size of the Forza, but was definitely ready for something more than her Buddy 50/70. If, in a year or so, we can get a few hundred on it from a trade-in, we haven't really lost anything :D
