Re: Hitch Carrier

Real men drive their PCX, not strapping them to the back of their car!

Our European cars are too light for these kind of solutions so we have to take a trailer for these kind of things!

Maintenance: what about the intervals?

I've ordered a new PCX 125. It's coming around the end of May. From the 10th of July I go on a long trip (maybe even up to 8000km/5000 miles or more). So I wondered about the periodically maintenance schedule. I tought about riding 1000km in June so it can have it's first service before I leave. Tha...

Re: New engine on model 2012 PCX 125

Thanks Maddiedog and Fiah,

Interesting story at motorfreaks, unfortunately for the rest it is in Dutch.
I would like to know how this translates to real life experience. Probably hardly noticeable?

The PCX 150 is also a nice improvement!

Re: PCX 150?

Saw an end of June delivery date for the PCX 150 here in Holland mentioned on a forum. I've just ordered a 125 coming the end of May. Maybe I should call my dealer and ask him about it. I also was said to be 100 euros more than a PCX 125.
On another (non Dutch) site I saw a September delivery date.

New engine on model 2012 PCX 125

I've ordered a PCX 125 in Holland which is meant to arrive at the end of May (because of floods in Taiwan earlier this year?). Today I heard from my dealer that it will have the new engine, the eSP enhanced smart power engine. Improved durability, fuel economy, power and torque and quieter operation...

Re: One year of scootering already.

I'm 5 weeks away from getting my PCX! End of May delivery for a white PCX here in Holland. I've been driving Honda motorscooters for over 10 years now. First had a Honda Pantheon 150, two stroke big scooter. Crashed it against a Mercedes van which suddenly crossed my path. Had it for six years. Afte...

Scooter recovery Indian style: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x113/graemegs1150/IndianScooterrecovery.jpg I love these pictures! Ofcourse this is quite extreme but it reminds me of how spoiled we are, if we have to get a few groceries we take the car because it doesn't fit on our bike (we think...

Thanks maddiedog, I thought maybe the friction was leaving scratches but I'm glad it isn't!

Re: Tunnel bags

@maddiedog The trip is gonna take about three weeks. I'll go camping and nothing, except the route, is planned so if it takes a couple of days extra it's no problem. I sure will post the story and the pictures, not sure where but I'll leave a link on this forum. BTW I'm still wondering if the tunnel...

Re: Sorry! i part X'd the PCX for a geared bike

I really don't believe the Varadero 125 has lower fuel consumption than the PCX 125. It maybe economic but just not as good as a PCX!
But maybe you can tell us in a few weeks how your findings are.

Re: Tunnel bags

I didn't use ANY of the mounting hardware that came with the T455 -- I just used the included strap, wrapped around where the handlebar pivots to mount it in place. It's wedged in there well enough that the one strap is more than sufficient. I would greatly recommend the T496 though, it is more clo...

Re: Sorry! i part X'd the PCX for a geared bike

I've had a BMW F650 last year and travelled through Europe with it but didn't like the weight of it. So I sold it. I also took a look at the Honda Varadero 125, I think it's a very nice and beautiful bike, nice for a RTW (Round The World) trip :D I however did choose for the PCX because of the very ...

Re: Thinking of selling the PCX..

I'm really shocked about the insurance prices in the UK! I have a Honda Lead 100 2006 (PCX is coming in may) and I have insured it in the cheapest possible way: 5,61 euros a month = 67 euros a year. For my car, a Toyota Yaris 2011 simplest model and full insurance I pay 26 euros a month = 312 euros ...

Tunnel bags

Do tunnel bags damage the plastic?
Will they stay in place?

I'm thinking about buying the GIVI T496, experience anyone?

Re: PCX 150?

My thing with the PCX is just constantly trying to make myself comfortable so I shift around a lot. I'd imagine with a motorcycle it'd be less comfortable since your foot will always have to be in a set place if you're shifting vs wherever you want it on a scooter. I've been riding a BMW F650 last ...

Re: New Scoot on order

Good luck with your Sym. I have a Sym Mio 50cc scooter. Rode about 6500km with it without problems. I like it a lot but it isn't nearly as a smooth ride as a PCX, nothing is.

Re: Thinking of selling the PCX..

Feel like its just hassle having to get kitted up, take the chain and disc lock off, take it outta the garage, ride it to work, lock it all back up and take all the gear off again, when i could just hop in the car and listen to the radio on the way to work in the warm. I understand you chain and di...

Re: PCX selling well

My wife is American (we met in a chat room 13 years ago). As it stands we will visit her familly in Wisconsin for 2 weeks and then spend 3 days in New york. If my goddaughters family can not make the family reunion in WI we wil drive over to Arizona to visit them. It is only 1900 miles each way! Ar...
