Re: Forza 300 Rear brake pads
I had worn my rear pads down to the metal last November, necessitating new pads and a disc on the back. 2 months later, in January of this year, I was back in again because they were almost back down on the metal again - which I thought was ridiculous after such a short space of time, but it turns o...

Possibly a combination of these two factors and a third additional factor: I am a fat bastard.beegmouse wrote: I do notice from your fuelly page you are only getting 60-65mpg That may just be a result of London traffic or agressive riding.

Re: Forza Hand Guards
Nice looking guards One thing...a really Pernickety MOT guy in UK might fail the MOT if guard touches the screen on lock...ridiculous I know BUT!!! True... but because they are entirely polycarbonate/plastic and only affix to the handlebars at the very end, there really is quite a lot of flex in th...

Re: YSS shocks adjustment question
Has anyone got any experience of Bitubo's product range for the Forza. I found this online. The rear shocks are way more expensive than the YSS ones, but they do also offer fork springs for the front, which is the only place I've found to offer any alternative to the OEM forks on the Forza (so far)....

I meant to say the guards have solved that problem nicely. OFCMister_Fube wrote:I'm glad to report that the grips have solved that problem nicely and they don't even look as bad on the scooter as I was expecting them to.

Re: Forza Hand Guards
I've installed those Acerbis hand guards of which you speak! The heated grips alone weren't cutting it, during my winter commute - I had scorched palms from the grips and frozen fingers and thumb. I'm glad to report that the grips have solved that problem nicely and they don't even look as bad on th...

Re: YSS rear shocks received and installed - report
I'm very interested to hear further about the YSS shocks, now that you've had time to live with them a little. I was made aware of the hard ride of the Forza from this forum and other review sites before buying and found them to be accurate, however, as someone who commutes on some fast stretches of...

Re: more fuel capacity
Ok, I've only ever gone by the fuel gauge, and yes, I stop to refuel when the needle hits the middle of the red square at the bottom of the gauge - I've never gone over 138 miles on a tank before refuelling. I have a small green plastic jerry can, so I might put this to the test. I am aware of the f...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
Remember to let your insurer know you've fitted the wrong bulbs. Did you ever try adjusting the beam up? When I got my Forza I found the low beam not as good as the PCX it replaced, but a twirl on the adjuster to raise the beam aim fixed it. I haven't noticed any adjuster to change the aim of the h...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
Do the bulbs cut out if the fan fails? I'd be worried about it melting my bike. I shouldn't think so. The tiny little fans inside the bulbs are there to cool the little chip that regulates power to the LEDs, but the LEDs themselves put out minimal heat. So I guess all that would happen is that the ...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
First of all... sendler2112 - I have garage envy. That's more of a hangar than a garage. UK garages are barely big enough for a car, let alone a car, and all of the clutter usually associated with family life. Mister Paul... that's a good question. So desperate am I for more powerful lighting, that ...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
So to explain, the low beam mode lights the upper two faces of the trianglular bulb, whereas the high beam mode merely lights the additional 3rd face (on the bottom of the bulb). I don't think that'll be as much of an increase over low beam as having a whole second filament light up as it does on th...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
Since starting this thread, I have continued to commute on dark, unlit A and B roads in the UK, and with all the dirt and rainwater kicking up from the road and other traffic, I have to daily wipe down the patina of scum from my headlights and tail lights - the few times I've forgotten to do so, it'...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
I'm running some Osram night racers at the moment, but although they claim to be 15%- 20% brighter, they're still too dim for the roads I ride. The trouble is there are so many cagers on the same roads with HID or super-bright LEDs coming the other way that I can't see sh*t and also can't use my hig...

Wow. How are you managing to get 200 miles out of a tank? Even when I'm trying to hypermile, I can't get more than about 135 miles out of my tank.gn2 wrote:Its enough for about 200 miles.

Re: Givi or Honda Topbox, that is the question?
I have the GIVI topbox which I am very happy with. If, as you say, you're less concerned about the cost, then perhaps the GIVI has less advantages over the Honda. I am a UK Forza rider, so SHAD isn't a brand of topbox that is well known or even distributed over here, as far as I know. My Honda deale...

Re: Rear LEDs?
Yes, your LED strip on the Bestem does look like it covers all bases, Fish, but I've never seen a Bestem box in the UK. I think they're just in the US.
