Re: Blown Head Gasket (one year old bike)
But hey, it's an easy stereotype and mud to sling... Stereotype? Mud-slinging? You're a tad sensitive about this. We're talking about a car brand not a person. Besides, Rover's bad reputation is well-earned over many years, and is continuing. Here's just one report: JD Power 2015 VDS (Vehicle Depen...

Re: Blown Head Gasket (one year old bike)
Iceman, I did not approach the dealer about the problem. It was a little over a month pass the warranty and I had changed the coolant to a 50/50 mix of a different color coolant. I was still trouble shooting the issue because it was somewhat intermittent for the first month of riding this year. I d...

Re: Blown Head Gasket (one year old bike)
This has to be the first PCX head gasket issue I have heard of. You don't own a Rover do you? Funnily enough the K Series is a brilliant engine when a/ it's looked after by the owner and not abused and b/ maintained and fixed by someone who knows what they're doing with it. I've seen more issues on...

Re: Ordered a Forza 125...to replace my PCX!
MPG has crept up to 112.5 today. Done 240 miles and still have two bars of fuel remaining-impressive tank range! The Forza is really impressing me in how grown up it feels on the road-I've done a fair few miles this week all mostly on fast roads. No tight shoulders like I used to get with the PCX or...

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?
I can never be 100% as I didn't watch them do it. However they made a point of saying they did it and have noted on the invoice words to the effect of "Carried out first service to manufacturer's schedule". They also asked for the bike for at least half a day. Not conclusive but certainly ...

Re: Ordered a Forza 125...to replace my PCX!
Switched the display over to miles per litre, which at least gives something I can make a calculation from. Looks like the bike is currently doing 108mpg, not as good as my PCX but not bad considering it's been mostly on fast roads and is still running in.

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?
My local Honda dealer charged £80 or so for my PCX's first service including valve clearances. It's worth shopping around.

Re: FIRST SERVICE
That's the thing, was charging me £202 for 1 Service otherwise :-/ collection - service - drop off but for £399 I get all that... 5 TIMES! But the vouchers run out after two years from purchase. You bike won't need servicing five times in that period. Depends how many miles he does. If like me he d...

Re: Ordered a Forza 125...to replace my PCX!
I'm going to try switching it to miles per litre as described in the manual-at least it'll be a useable reading! I can then just multiply the figure by 4.546 to get the MPG.

Re: Ordered a Forza 125...to replace my PCX!
Well, it's here-I collected on Friday. The new bike is awesome, which I'll attempt to summarise below. Shame the dealership experience was far from that-even more of a shame as I purchased the PCX from the same dealership (but different salesman) which was a brilliant buying experience. So, the Forz...

Re: Forza 125 Accessories
I was looking at the Akrapovic exhaust for mine-it does look good! I don't want it to sound silly if I'm honest-it's meant to be a comfortable commuter, not a sports bike.
£500 is a bit steep though!

Re: Ordered a Forza 125...to replace my PCX!
The bike has finally arrived with the dealer-saw it getting PDI'ed this afternoon, with handover scheduled for tomorrow. Heated grips are on back order apparently-fortunately it's not winter!

Only stuff I've seen is the genuine Honda accessories. I've not seen a rear luggage rack but there is a colour matched top box available.

Re: Ordered a Forza 125...to replace my PCX!
Cancel the order or ask for a discount! A month of delay is not on - they should know if stock is available for delivery to dealers and not mess customers around. To be fair-it's been two weeks rather than a month since I ordered the bike, so I'm not jumping up and down just yet. Patience is a virt...

Another email from the dealer saying the delivery has been put back to next week
