Re: my pcx stalls when I open the throttle(once a time per 2
When you say your fuel pump is fine, does it create the specified pressure and pump the specified volume per unit of time? Also, did you check your cylinder compression? Did you check your clutch, clutch springs, made sure everything there is lubricated and moves freely? When was the last time you c...

It's a lot of fun on the PCX if you are not in a rush and avoid the freeways.

Thank you
Why not?
This was on the first floor and I didn't really ask.
Btw, good thing with new bikes like this PCX is they don't smell of gasoline while in enclosed space. A well working emissions canister keeps all the fumes trapped.

Re: Pictures from a four-day tour CA-UT-NV
Yes, I carried a 1.5 liter Primus Bottle. Few times I ran down to one flashing bar. It was a piece of mind to know I had extra. Some distances are indeed great out there without gas stations. Ely, NV to Tonopah, NV is about 170 miles with no gas stations. PCX can make it to about 200. At least the L...

Again, those of you who have time and would like to talk to Vincent, please call him. He would be very happy. Seems he is pretty isolated there but had such a long life living in Seattle, teaching at Uof Wash in Pullman. He also tought in HHHH club, did agricultural and computer research. Pretty ama...

The rest of the photos of the trip. THe function of batch processing in canon photo professional was useful to resize a bunch of files at once.

Re: Pictures from a four-day tour CA-UT-NV
Thanks for nice comments, mates. Yes, the massacre was an eye opening experience. It's a huge site, there is also a statement by the morning church. I will upload the photos in a second. The roads were empty. Many of them I didn't see a car for 30 minutes on. Important, thus to have all the tools an...

Re: Pictures from a four-day tour CA-UT-NV
Next weekend, planning another trip for 3 days.
Changed the belt, the drive pulley, the oil, the gear fluid and the air filter with gasket. Washed the bike and about to wax it.

Pictures from a four-day tour CA-UT-NV
The PCX did well. Route: Castaic, CA to Hollywood, to Las Vegas, to Mesquite, St. George, Utah, to Imperial, UT to Ely Nevada, to Tonopah, NV, Bishop, CA, Mojave, CA, back to Castaic. Did one oil change. Camped three nights, moteled once in Ely as it was raining. Best MPG is 105, worst about 87, at ...

Okay. Glad you had fun with it. The wheels certainly look like they could handle the sand better than the PCX.

Re: Improving PCX rear drum brake
I also believe the brake is adequate enough to stop the small 150 cc engine, I even locked my rear once and skidded. My complain is all about the brake feel. Iv'e just installed an aftermarket "Bendix" one, and it's great. At least for now. Sounds like you may have an issue with your brak...

Re: Improving PCX rear drum brake
Just came back from a three day loaded touring trip with plenty of steep mountain descends and fast freeway riding ( LA to Pismo Beach and back). And I had all the confidence in the brakes. They feel great and completely adequate. Never felt the need for anything different. Advantages of drum brakes...
