Re: ADV150 Variator Tuning Results
A sticker "powered by NOS" has been proven to add 0.5 of a horsepower and reduce drag. Gotta also tune the exhaust and the belt line, the slimmer the belly, the more like a rocket the PCX is. Time to go to the gym /sarcasm

Measure the specs for drive and driven pulleys, belt width, weight and condition of the rollers, sliders and the diameter of the boss. Clutch springs, rear driver bearings, amount and condition of gear oil.

Two years, wow. Nanny state... makes sense though...
I'd rather favor the American Way... some states require no helmets... dumb to ride without one but the taste of freedom is so sweet.

If that was the case, it would mean a PCX engine was alike to perpetual motion machine that would last forevergn2 wrote:If you use fully synthetic oil there will be no engine wear.
Obviously that's not the case and there is always wear when the engine is running.

Well, after riding in 100+F weather, the glue finally softened. I just drilled a hole through both the dipstick and the PCV pipe, and put a bolt with washer and nut through it. It's not going anywhere now.

Re: Effects of Extended Use At/Near Governed Top Speed
Well, if the question is - does running the engine at or near red line "bad" for the engine? The answer is certainly yes. The reason there is a red line, or rather an electronic limiter that prevents engine from turning at revolutions higher than certain value, is in order to prevent engin...

Not sure if I can ever trust Italian bikes when there are hondas around.
What's the highest mileage liberty known to be around?

Re: Is this battery tender safe to use on my PCX150?
Three weeks is not long enough to worry about charging the battery. If it was over a month and a half, then maybe... but not three weeks.
I have a 4.99$ float charger from harbor freight. Works well. Either of them will work, just don't overcharge the battery.

Re: Interval
I checked mine on 2018 at around 1000 miles or so. The bike ran well and the engine was quiet. But the exhaust valve was too tight. If left unadjusted, it would keep getting tighter and would burn prematurely, probably. Not to mention the performance was compromised. Depending on your outlook on the...

Nice, the only issue with Forzas is the crazy prices for OEM parts... Forza belt is like 180$ whereas the PCX is 40$, some goes for variator faces

As a very last resort for removing damaged bolts & studs .... get a cheap box wrench or socket that fits (but doesn’t work because it slips). Clean the head & wrench with gasoline to remove all traces of oil. Get JBWeld epoxy and fuse the cheap wrench / socket to the head and let sit for a ...

Yes, the belt seems to be wearing at an unhealthy rate if the area was clean when you recently installed it. I wouldn't know what exactly has changed, but I assume the shape or the distance of the cones... or maybe the stifness of clutch springs. Whenever aftermarket parts are used in the engine and...

I usually hold the wheel with both knees while sitting in front of the bike to align the axle, the spacers, the brake disc and (on the Elite, the speedometer cable). It's done pretty easy with patience. Main thing is not to rush and see where there is obstruction. Can use another person to hold the ...

A lot of those battery "chargers, floaters, maintainers", keep charging the battery which is fully charged, resulting in damage of the battery. I would not leave anything plugged in after the battery if fully charged.... Lead acid batteries do fine with periodic top off during storage - e....

Really nice, are some reflective tapes higher quality or more wear / weather resistant that others ? I used this one: 3M 3430 White Micro Prismatic Sheeting Reflective Tape - 4 in. X 15 ft. Non Metalized Adhesive Tape Roll. Safety Tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Y7I4BE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_as...
