Went out to get some fast food and get the scooter warmed up after a coolant change.
Thinking of a long tour as soon as travel restrictions are lifted. Bike is in perfect shape.

Re: 2014 Honda Forza 300 No start
I checked the spark and its good, fuel pump is good, Did you check the spark plug? Was it wet? Is it new or known to be good? Or did you mean you verified the presence of a spark? How did you check the fuel pump? Did you measure the fuel pressure and verified it is within spec? If the scoot has bee...

Re: 2019/2020 PCX or SMAX
I wouldn't trade a honda for a yamaha. Don't like the look of s-max, it seems out of proportion. The new PCX is not really any faster than the old one, although I know there are claims about splitting hairs here and there. The new PCX has a smaller displacement engine - 149cc, so technically making ...

My 18 tops out at around 62, and was closer to 65 when new.

Re: 2019 PCX 150 - Top Speed - Huh?
That speed sounds right for your 149cc PCX. If you want a faster bike, you need an engine with bigger displacement. Don't blindly base your expectations on peoples reports of top speed. Those reports vary greatly and many people overestimate or ride down hill with tail wind to report top speed. Cons...

Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off
Well, as I thought it was too good to be true, the stutter and judder at very low speed and on take off is back after 1500km trip, it was there even half way through, so just cleaning the clutch shoes with emery 80 sandpaper does not really solve this... I had similar issues you describe. It was re...

I am at 28300 on my Elite 110 and still have the original brake pads.
Some owners never needs them if all they do is highway riding. On the other hand, if you are delivering women for liposuction surgery in San Francisco, you may need brake pads sooner.

Hmmmmm, nice, but, when a belt drive cvt scooter is trying to climb a steep hill, I usually smell the belt burning.
For the fields or gravel drive way it's ok
Tire is not street but obviously not a real dirt tire either. I think I am more excited about the ct125.

Re: NJ to CA PCX 150 ride completed - Part II
Hi CTPCX, thanks for the cheers. Yes, I definitely always take some tools with me on scooter journeys. Other than the first aid kit, the next most important is tire repair (I've carried 3 tire irons, much of patches, set of rim protectors, thick mechanics gloves, pump, valve core, soap and such thin...

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
I have oxford heated grips (fitted by the dealer), datatool tracker and the alarm. I left it before for over 2 weeks but didn't have an issue starting it. I was trying to find a lithium battery but I don't see Shido model for 2019 version. Are you sure the alternator is even able to supply enough c...

Re: 2019/20 PCX vs 2015-2018
I've read the specs on the new PCX and like the improvements and the possibility of having ABS. So the two things I'm wondering about are: (1) does the updated frame, rear suspension, and bigger tires make that much of a difference in the ride and handling and (2) is the top speed any better with t...

Re: Has The PCX finally met it's match ??
Hmmm, nice to have abs and rear disc brake but the ground clearance looks too low for any serious off roading... also the belt is not meant to be used in high torque uphill climbing... It will start smoking and burning, ask me how I know. To be honest, given these two issues, I don't see how scooter...

Thanks for sharing. That is some hi-tech video recording feature!
Please consider wearing motorcycle gloves and maybe a hi viz vest. Drivers are so distracted these days.
You want your vest to scream at them in the ultra high frequency spectrum of visible light.

Re: 2011 PCX Won't Start
If you have fuel in the tank, do the flooded engine start procedure. WIDE OPEN THORTTLE< HOLD STARTER BUTTON FOR 5 seconds. Then try to start normally with no throttle. Repeat.
If no luck, start making sure you have spark. Hopefully your old fuel didn't gunk up somewhere.
