Re: Bike cut while riding and now will not start!

Sounds like the last thing to check for is compression. Pull out spark plug, put finger over hole and turn it over. If he was running down the road with no symptoms and it shut off I would guess value timing. Cam chain or tensioner, cam sensor or sprocket, crank sensor or sprocket. Basic compression...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Maybe that is why Ed recommends carbon fiber rollers to be mixed with sliders?

lolofigo: What were the weights of those rollers and sliders?

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Thanks for the explanation Ed.

Installed the 18 gram today. Did about 30km test ride. Cruising at 60kph tack is around 4700. Throttle to WFO and it jumps to 6500.
WFO from a stop and it goes to 6500
120kph is 7500.
145kph is 8500

Need to do more km but so far I like them

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Hey Ed, curious why you measured the sliders at these two points and not where the ramp plate makes contact? Mine arrived today and when I measure where the ramp plate makes contact I get the same 23.3mm as the stock rollers. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r154/BRed1/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2014090...

Thank you Big Ruckus Ed for posting your extensive test results.
I just bought some Dr. Pulley sliders 23x18 18 gram because of your research.

Re: Bought my Forza on Saturday.....but....

Forza also doesn't have a tank to squeeze with your knees. Which is another good tip to use under hard braking. Helps keep some weight off your hands.
She'll be using a loaner bike for the course with a clutch.

Re: Bought my Forza on Saturday.....but....

Course is very easy and FUN. Four tips for you. Knees tight against the tank helps with balance. Turn your head and look where you want to go when turning and not at the ground. Eyes up at the horizon. 90° turn means turn your head 90° Unlike a bicycle, the left lever is not a brake. It will not mak...

Day 1 of the course involves lots of pushing your bike around the parking lot. Choose a light bike.

Re: Not starting :-(

It's not the brake switch because it wouldn't turn over if it was broken. Same goes for sidestand switch, wouldn't turn over.

What about the valves? How many miles ago were they checked?

Have you done a compression check?

Once again aquim is correct.

How many miles since last valve lash inspection?

This is not a battery problem if it turns over and doesn't start.
