Re: Only Getting About 55MPH WOT into Head Wind

I don't know about you guys but I did some small mods in my pcx150 and it reaches 80mph, at least on the speedometer, easily. Just a swap of new variator.

Re: Clutch Chatter No More ??

I haven't tried aftermarket clutches too much.
I think it's price related. Anything that has performance tag will cost you a lot. The kvb clutch is stock Honda so at least you're paying less for mostly the same result. Modifying only the clutch will not result in any additional miles per hour.

Re: Settings pgm-fi yuminashi

How old are you? I seriously want to know. You seriously sound to me like a jumpy teenager tuning his first bike. No offense intended. Just curious. I have a lot of customers like that. If you want the truth, bring it to a dyno service with an oxygen sensor gauge to properly tune it out. You also do...

Re: Settings pgm-fi yuminashi

If your mechanic has worked on it on the dyno why the hell would you want to re tune it again?
If it is performing normally, leave it alone.

Use them. Should be ok. Not too much differences between those 2 models

Re: Finally put my 164 yuminashi kit on the dyno

What dyno are you using over there? I use Dynojet smallest dyno available (for scooter) and usually I got about 13.5 HP for any essential kit on the 125.
No idea why you guys are making that much more power unless it's due to differences between dynos.

Then make sure to ask them to give you a list of links and buy as they recommend. You wouldn't want to buy to wrong thing and end up waiting longer than expected.

Re: Malossi 170cc kit for 125

Yuminashi is always more power, because they make it very high compression. Charmo is always on the gentler side of things.
Regarding reliability, I have never seen either of them breaking before my eyes so reliability should be the same provided you know what you're doing.

I always have the impression that the guy I talked to at Yuminashi sounds very reasonable until he said "let me ask my boss about it".
You mean the 45/15 gear set? How did that work out for you?

Re: Injector Choice for 150 Upgrade

You can gather parts from Yuminashi site to make a 150 kit but they do not sell throttle body for it so your performance would be about 30% better compared to stock 125. I had a kit like that on the dyno. Stock 125 makes about 7.5 to 8 hp stock variator. If you go with their 58 option, stock throttl...

That is unless Yuminashi did some stuff to the head to fit the old style header of course, but I have no idea about that.

Re: Yuminashi esp 150 head conversion

Just a heads up, you'll need new exhaust header too. Better find a welding shop soon. If you have a pcx v1 the stock exhaust header will not fit the new esp style cylinder head. Regarding Yuminashi, maybe I am very lucky or so, I bought a lot of stuff from them (enough for me to get a 130 bucks disc...

Dyno results from a 184cc PCX LED.

Hey. I got a special favor and got my hands on a long stroke crankshaft. The big end crank pin is moved 1.5mm away from its original position, resulting in a +3mm to the crank stroke. the PCX has 57.9mm stroke stock, so this crankshaft is 60.9mm. I also have another crankshaft that is +7mm meaning a...

0.1 IN and 0.24 EX. That's actually for stock camshaft. No idea how it will work on that takegawa camshaft. If it makes too much noise try 0.05mm IN and 0.1mm EX.

Re: Yuminashi 164cc keeps over heating

The 125 stock head is pretty prone to overheating because the gasket meat is very thin when you go 60mm. That's why yuminashi sells copper gasket, because last time I check they make their cylinder's coolant holes matching with the coolant holes in the 125 head. Takegawa and Charmo relocate the cool...

Re: Yuminashi 164cc keeps over heating

If you do go with the 150 head make sure to buy a proper 150 head gasket as well. Also check for proper valve and piston clearance to make sure they don't touch. Can't be too careful.

Re: Dyno Run Pcx 169cc

So, which bike is it that you have modded for these tests, the 125cc or the 150cc? When Maddiedog modded his 125cc PCX to 170cc it was really fast. I have read somewhere in these postings that you can upgrade the 150cc to 170cc but to me that would be under-modding it. Surely they can make a 190cc ...

It will fit.
The 150 piston from Honda cannot be used on a 125 crankshaft, 14mm pin vs 13mm pin. Don't go down that road.
