Re: When is it time to move up to a Big Boy Bike?

I have some questions for the motorcycle riders here but I'm looking for input from anyone who has a comment, whether it be nice, mean or sarcastic. Put a top case on the back of your Forza, and put your helmet, etc there. I did not see any storage at all on any of the motorcycles you listed, did y...

Re: so hot you had to wear mesh!

Remember? It was too sunny and hot to wear anything but your mesh jacket?! My son heading out on his CB500X...... Man. Those were the days! I know. They'll be back. Geez. Mesh! Fish What do you mean " Back " ??? It is going to be 80 degrees all week long here :D Just like it has been all ...

Re: New exhaust experience

Hi gang, Here's the interesting thing, for the first time I wasn't tailgated or had any cars consider driving out in front of me! 8) Cheers, Gav. The idea that a loud exhaust increases safety is a MYTH, and it is downright dangerous to give this advice to give this bad advice to others as think the...

Re: Can't Wait....

Take a long hard look at the Honda FORZA ABS. It beats the pants off the PCX !

I wanted a PCX until I took the time to learn about the FORZA.

Re: Lights better than tape

Similar experience as DNWJ, when I was a fire-fighter. Lights all over the fire engine, siren, air horn, lime green paint, reflective stripes galore, all on an unmistakable large multi-ton vehicle. Doesn't matter. There's always somebody not paying attention. And, my experience was before all the e...

Re: 55 Litre top box on a Forza 300

The gray/silver of my 2014 Honda Forza is a really bad colour for safety. I would paint mine yellow if I had the energy. Forget the color of the Forza, it makes no real difference for a car about to pull out in front of you, or rear end you... LIGHTING is the answer there, people will see lighting ...

Re: Lights better than tape

If you do not like top cases, or mucking with your scoot's wiring - I've used the pulsing halogen tail light/brake bulb from these folks. The halogen bulb is much brighter than an LED or the stock incandescent bulb. Simply replace your stock bulb with one of these bulbs. https://kisantech.com/mag/t...

Re: Idle Stop

Works perfect in Bangkok stoplights. My favorite feature of the PCX so far. (or I'm probably just a part of the clueless majority, poor us) I never said " it does not work " ... You demonstrate poor reading comprehension, and the inability to differentiate " does not work " from ...

Re: Idle Stop

I use it all the time, don't know how much it saves! It's a good system, usually active once I get a couple of hundred yards into my journey, and when in use there is no delay in firing back up when pulling away. Don't see any reason, for me, not to use it. There is a very good reason not to use it...

Re: 55 Litre top box on a Forza 300

Hi Dave, Cool pictures !!! That looks like an awesome area to ride... Do you ride a lot at night ? The reflectors make a huge difference at night, but not so much in the daytime. If you want to be seen in the daytime, you need VERY BRIGHT lighting... More lighting takes a lot of work, but is a huge ...

Now there are probably around 6,500 - 7,000 employees. I wonder where they all went?? Those jobs obviously went to China and Mexico... I do not know what company you worked for, but I am very safe to bet they downsized by a huge amount. That brings the obvious question since you are talking about i...

Re: A fresh start

Hi Dave, You are a smart guy, commuting to work on a motorcycle WILL result in an accident sooner or later, and you would have been injured and unable to work. With all the bad drivers out there it is just a matter of time before one takes you out while texting, etc.... Make your rides ones that are...

Full licence. I'm keen on a few bikes bigger bikes - CB500F, CB650F,.. I do try to keep off the big bikes cause I can't help myself. Hi BigDick, I feel like I am going to get banned for using your name :D The CB500X is much better than the CB500F, make sure you actually sit on one before you buy an...

Re: Gone to the dark side

We moved house and my office moved shortly after, I travel in to South London...entering for the East. A car is not an option given traffic and congestion charge. Sitting in traffic SUCKS !!! I would have to agree, in rush hour, a scooter is not only a lot more fun, but you can always keep moving, ...

Re: Gone to the dark side

Did you move ?? How did that happen that your commute increased so much, what do you do for work ???? That is a crazy long commute ! Given the length of that commute, I would have just gotten a car :) If that is highway commuting, the huge, giant Burgman will probably be much better for that commute...

Winter beyonds suck, can't wait till I have the money to be a snowbird. My neighbors in AZ are kind of close but yet so far away. In Tuscon its 74 degrees as I type. : ( You got that right !!! Re: Forza Update

I doubt there is going to be any update to the Forza 300, personally I'll be taking delivery of a 2014 Burgman 400ZA next week and eventually sell my 2014 PCX. A agree with getting rid of the PCX, it has no ABS, and is not fast enough for the highway. Why a Burgman ??? That thing is HUGE and feels ...

Re: Need Advice. First time scooter buyer

The more expensive Kymco scooters and their engines are reflective of the quality that Kawasaki expect when Kymco badge engineer scooters for them. Their cheaper scooters are built to budget and reflect this, but are reliable and robust non the less. The first is a REALLY BAD assumption. When Kymco...

Re: Hello from Thailand

So total cost OTR = 163,700 baht ($4,604). How does that compare to the rest of the world? That is a great deal !!! I got quoted about 7000.00 dollars out the door for the Forza from the Honda dealer here. That is why I do not have one yet... One question, was there no option to turn off the system...

Re: Need Advice. First time scooter buyer

Finally, I dont want to skimp on helmet quality so I might buy mine in Canada with CSA/DOT rating. I was thinking about full face with the movable jaw style (hydbrid). Any suggestion on that is also appreciated. Thanks again for all your help. Hi ThaiForza, I would get a helmet in Thailand, they ha...
