Not 100% sure, but I heard rumours that it was just too expensive for the market (which is largely dominated by the cheap Chinese junk as far as scooters go). They still import the Elite 125, but not the PCX.

I don't think it was actually anything to do with oil over-fill in the end. That was one of my thoughts in the beginning, but when i took it to the mech the first time, he checked the oil level and it wasn't high. Think i hadn't been checking it on level ground the first time round!

The proper technique is to unscrew the cap, wipe it off with a clean non-shedding towel or paper towel, then stick it back in without screwing it in at all, then pull it out again and read the level.
