Re: Centre Stand
MD, your pic of the kneedragger in the playground is priceless! Happyscooter, I’m not comparing your pain to my embarrassment, but once after dismounting in a very public parking lot I put my foot on the centerstand to move it down, and the stand slid through a hole in the sole of my shoe. :o ...

Re: Does anyone have LED accent lights?
if we put any LED lights other than white at the front and red at the back, we'll get poked by the police Sorry to hear that. The law is very specific here too, but the police don't really care about ambient LEDs. Unless your lighting was all wrong like red headlights or white brakes, which would c...

Re: Does anyone have LED accent lights?
I was just wondering if anyone here has ever installed them, and if so did they use a switch? It looks like they just wire straight to the battery, but i'm sure i'll figure it out when the arrive. You have done pushed me over the edge. I paid a visit to my mechanic this evening, and told him I wann...

Re: Centre Stand
Nothing wrong with a side stand except when you’re on a hill…
I always use the center stand on my other bike, but on the PCX I always use the side stand. A would-be thief may not know there’s a kill switch on my side stand, and it may make the difference in his success.

I'll post pictures (of the bike) after I install them. I was just wondering if anyone here has ever installed them, and if so did they use a switch? It looks like they just wire straight to the battery, Looking forward to seeing the pics. After I suggested they might be a good idea for visibility, ...

nope. Had to walk across.jasontheparamedic wrote:So, no PCX across the bridge?
Gotta get on the freeway to cross the river on a scooter.
There is an interstate highway bridge immediately north of here. You can barely see it on the far right of the first pic.

And Whitenoise, it looks like your floor mat is doing a nice job of keeping the center stand and floor from abusing each other.

Good fer ya! I don't know when I will actually install it, since it's quite a bit below freezing here most days. NOW is the time to install it! Without a windshield I can’t ride below 50 F, but with a windscreen I’ve ridden in 24 F weather. There hasn’t been occasion to ride colder than that so far,...

Re: Hand Mitts
Don’t know much about the Tuscano muffs, but I think they are more “fitted”. ScootR Logic is more “one-size-fits-all”. Likely you can get a larger glove into the ScootR mitts. Then again, you won’t need as heavy of a glove if you have the protection of a mitt or muff. I’m sure many mitt/muff users d...

Hand Mitts
A local scooter acquaintance told me the two most important pieces of gear that keep him riding into the colder months are a good windshield, and good hand mitts. He recommended the obscenely ugly, but highly affordable ScootR Logic hand mitts. On his recommendation I ordered and quickly received th...

Re: Singapore trip - AD200
200 miles on $1 of electricity? Nice! My PCX costs 6X that much (here in the land of (relatively) cheap gas). Anything electric-motor powered should be torquey. Good... $19K. Meh... No wind or rain? Nah, I've already got a cage for that. I have to believe a third wheel costs less than a couple of gy...
