Re: Horn Mod... accessibility

For the archives and future searches here is a crude but surprisingly useful EXTRA horn modification for quicker, easier access. The existing horn will not be disabled 8) Tools; allen wrench, cross tip screwdriver. Parts; switch, wire, connectors, heat shrink or electrical tape. Degree of difficult...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

Fact is, when you're on a scooter or motorcycle, people in cars don't readily see you and you need quick access to your horn. This is still a great idea. And if you press your horn they still won't see you. Sound bounces around, the direction of the source is rarely obvious. If you startle a moron ...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

Could not find a pressure switch but I find this at the hardware store. Not ideal over the above idea but still has a more natural access then thumbing across the handlebars for the horn when you need it. Thanks for the fun today, now what can we do for kicks and giggles on my channel? u47o3D2DKxE ...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

 I pasted it, not real, just messing with ya By the time I find the horn on my bikes the reason i needed it has passed. Best just focus on the threat and forgive the oblivious. I always thought a healthy squeeze on the left grip would be an excellent invention for bikers concerning the horn. No...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

The horn button in the wrong position has been a complaint for as long as I have been on this forum. In fact, I noticed it the first time that I rode a PCX. I think some members have even written to Honda about the issue. Until a solution can be found, I think about all you can do is get a bigger h...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

horn.jpg I think i've designed this fix for you guys before. Stick this type of pressure switch under the left housing and wire it to the horn. Simply use your left thumb knuckle to press the switch... never miss a chance to blow your horn again 8) Somebody help me find this switch in 12v and in th...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

This is how the horn button, turn signal switch, and Hi/Lo Beam switch is arranged on my new 2018 Zuma 125. It's what I'm used to. It's the way it's been on all the previous machines I've owned/ridden. I can find it in a split second whether I'm wearing Winter riding gloves or no gloves. . .it's a ...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

You could take the whole thing away from the handlebar, and just mount a foot switch at the top of the floorboards. Add another horn underneath the plastic. I guess more people use their horn that I certainly do, in three years of riding the PCX, I don't think I've ever used it. I don't like using ...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

The relocation of the horn button has made riding safety very difficult for me lately. I have joint arthritis in my left thumb and at crucial times, I've been unable to reach quickly enough for the horn or I hit my blinkers instead. I'm scheduled for surgery to get my hand fixed but it's not for an...

Re: How to uninstall seat on 2018 PCX

'Emmet' and I had a similar conversation when I ordered my shocks from them a few months ago, so he should have known there was a difference (assuming it isn't just a persona). It took forever to get them to tell me which shocks I needed after they told me the ones I ordered probably weren't right,...

Re: How to uninstall seat on 2018 PCX

Take about 2 minutes to see if the two bolt will fit the 4 bolt setup. Let us know I doubt it, but I will do it this weekend just to be sure. I will report back. I'm truly sorry you have a seat for a pre-LED PCX. This is what happens as time takes its toll on those who knew but lend to younger empl...

Re: How to uninstall seat on 2018 PCX

US 2018 and Thai 2018 are different... the US is getting the Thai 2018 model as a 2019. I don't know if the seats interchange. Yes, I was aware of this and I thought my contact at BikerzBits, Emmet, was too which is why I was very specific when I told him I had a 2018 "U.S. model". He ema...

Re: How to uninstall seat on 2018 PCX

2015 and later seats are not interchangeable with earlier PCX models. I will wait for someone with a older base seat to confirm they are two bolt design. They may have built your custom seat on an older base.... booooooooo Wait, you think they sold me a seat for an earlier model? When I bought the ...

How to uninstall seat on 2018 PCX

Can someone help with instructions on how to remove the original seat on a 2018? I am replacing it with a new Seat 7 from BikerzBitz. I don't have my socket wrenches right now; I have to retrieve them from storage. Removing the Phillips screws doesn't remove it from the hinges. BTW, there are only t...

Re: 2019 PCX150 - USA model

Like the lights, the dash, and the wider wheels and tires, and the color is nice too, but seriously, the X-Town 300 isn't much difference in price and you get a lot more. Yeah but the X-Town is in a different category; it weighs almost 400 lbs. and about 10" longer. Definitely a bargain for th...
