Have about 700 miles on my Yuminashi cam, rockers, double valve springs, intake manifold, injector and throttle body.
So far so good ...better than vario and sliders alone, for sure.

Re: Side Stand Switch.
Cut the two wires going to the switch and connect the two wires together.Drifter wrote:Any one know how to disable the switch so it does not kill the engine.
I know its not a good idea because if you take off with it down you could crash. Learned that lesson many years ago!

Re: Yamaha's answer to the PCX... the XC155 !
Two weeks ago I brought home a brand-new Yamaha SMAX (XC155 / Majesty X). And then, a few days ago, I stumbled across a fantastic local deal on a used 2011 PCX 125 that I couldn't pass up. So broke down and brought it home too. These last few days have been largely devoted to riding them both, and ...

Re: 2015 PCX 150 top speed
Sounds good. Had a talk with a coworker about the camshaft, and he says it makes sense that the fuel mixture would need to be adjusted since a performance camshaft would shove more mix through the engine and running it too lean would cause misfires. And after digging through old threads, I found a ...

Re: Handle bars.
I pulled my bars off the scoot, clamped them in a vise, and used a bicycle frame straightening/bending tool to bend them forward and away from me (gave them less sweep), and it helped alot, but didn't get them lower. Happy with the results though. The bars I had ordered to get things lower and with...

They are not the same, welding would be required to make it fit.
But, yes you could get a shiny new exhaust for cheap.

Re: 2015 PCX Valve Clearance Adustment
Session 6 - Adjustment Intake was found to be just under .003 in. Exhaust just under .008 in. Both Valves are consistent under spec with a cold engine, rotated the crank shaft several times to be sure and there is nothing here to see. Apparently I'm growing into perfect specification or already the...

Re: Picture My Honda PCX Orange PowerbyPCX
Its the tread part that was trimmed, its just like tread wear. I dont think it could affect the tire integrity in any way. I commute on a motorcycle 70 miles a day so safety is always my concern, even on my scooter I had to shave the "hairs" off of my 120, but not the tread. (only would h...

Re: How-To: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Hello everyone, First I want to thank you all for this valuable how to thread. It has enabled me to tackle the valve adjustment job with confidence. Here is my experience with this job. My PCX is a 2013, and I had Honda do the first service at 630miles at which time they checked the valves. My scoo...

CVT mods you don't need to "reset", engine yes...
but how hard is it to disconnect a negative terminal for a minute.

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
You may want to try the 12g again or GO CRAZY and do a combo of 16 12 13 etc. just make sure you alternate the G's like 16 12 16 12 16 12 (= 14)
And try that thing downhill now you should be able to break 70+mph.

YOU need a variator. It will raise your rev limit(10ish mph), but not get rid of it.

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
Does this extra profile of 140/70/R14 adds comfort? How is the cornering now? Comfort; maybe you should look into shocks for added comfort, the recommended tire inflation on the 140/70 rear is 41lbs. This feels just as solid as the stock 100/90-14 did. I might soften it up a little by dropping air ...

Welcome
Free is a good price, but I might lean towards another free one with less miles or a solid maintenance record.
Gear... go to a store(or good online return policy) and try some different brands on, they all have slight differences.

Check for oil leaks... make sure the valve cover gasket is clean and not covered in "sealant".
Rusty exhaust components...
Weathered rubber... tires, grips etc. (Homie please, who in their right mind would install over-sized tires on a PCX )
