Poor gas mileage with Honda Forza 300
I bought a 2014 Forza 300 three years ago with 80 miles on it and it has been my daily runner since then with about 4K miles on it. Initially, I got about 60 mpg but recently it is getting about 45 mpg. I am not a wrencher beyond changing oil so I I have to rely on a local scooter mechanic for anyth...

Re: Mileage expectations on Honda Forza 300
Thanks for the excellent responses. I will temper my fuel economy expectations for a while and will get my mechanic to look at the brakes to see if there is a problem there, as you suggest. Cheers, Whitestix in Sacramento

Mileage expectations on Honda Forza 300
I bought this 2014 machine last year with only 80 miles actual miles on it. I have had two Honda Reflex scooters and I think I got between 60 and 70 mpg with them. However, with the Forza, the best I have gotten, now with 1500 miles on it, is about 55 mpg. I have a big Givi top case on the back and ...

Re: Rear shock options
I disliked the harsh ride of the stock shocks on my 2014 Honda Forza 300 and swapped in a pair of Malossi's today. Wow, what a huge improvement riding over our beat up surface streets. Sort of like riding on a magic carpet... a transformative change! Wow.

Re: Poor gas mileage with Forza
I have about 1200 miles on the 2014 scooter and just checked my mileage and I am at 54 mpg. The calipers don't seem to be sticking. Research provided by owners shows a range of 58 to 77 mpg, with a mean about 65 mpg, which was similar to that with my Reflex. I can't imagine the air cleaner is clogge...

Re: Poor gas mileage with Forza
Fish,
I appreciate your sense of humor in my plight to make my scooter more efficient. If I catch your drift, very hot discs might alert me to a sticky brake? Fair enough, that I can check myself. Thanks for chiming in.

Poor gas mileage with Forza
I bought a used 2014 Forza with 80 miles on it last year and have maybe put 1K miles on it. At first, I was getting nearly 60 mpg, but the last time I filled up, my mileage had dropped to 48 mpg. I admit to being a bit of a jackrabbit pulling away from stop lights, but this mileage pretty much sucks...

Re: No brake lights on Forza 300
Thanks for showing me where Fuse Box B is located. I tested all the fuses and they are fine. Dang, I was hoping for a simple fix, but alas it escaped me. I assume the fuse in the fuse box hidden under the seat by the battery is the main fuse and should not be under suspicion. As I said, I dumped the...

Re: No brake lights on Forza 300
Fish, Yeah, that has to be last thing that is the problem, I would think. Logically, the problem is a fuse, but I can figure out where they are located. I'd take it to the Honda dealer, but they have zero familiarity with the scooter as they have sold only a few of them. And they have backlog of 2+ ...

Re: No brake lights on Forza 300
Gents, I have spent the last hour with the shop manual for the Forza and I am totally perplexed as to how to DX this problem. The tail lights are on, but neither the left nor the right lever will turn on the brake lights. Honda has foolishly hidden the fuse boxes and other than the one under the sea...

No brake lights on Forza 300
I dumped the bike getting gas a while back and took it to the dealer to get a replacement front cover. I replaced the brake lever and checked to see if the brake lights came on when depressing the level. The rear lights are on, but do not brighten when the brake levers are depressed, either one of t...

Re: Repairing scraped paint on Forza fairing
Gents, I priced up the parts at the metro Honda store and they were about 50% higher than Partzilla. I gave them the Partzilla's prices and they offered to match them. Heck of deal and I am happy to transact locally. It pays to shop around and I never would have thought the dealer could offer compet...

Re: Repairing scraped paint on Forza fairing
Not fooling, they just pop on? I figured I would need to take off the front end to get them off. Oh my, I will check out the replacement parts! Thanks a million.

Repairing scraped paint on Forza fairing
I got a 2014 Forza recently that has scrapped up paint on the fairing and on the plastic underneath the foot rest space. I got a $450 quote for it to be repainted in my home garage without taking any of the parts off the scooter, but it is too expensive for my budget. Can anyone suggest any less exp...

Re: Adjustment procedure for rear shocks on Honda Forza 300?
You fellas are a fount of knowledge and your helpful tips will say me $100 in scooter shop labor charges. Amazing the scooter shop mechanics weren't aware of this simple adjustment technique. Thanks for taking the time to help out a guy with ten thumbs! This is a wonderfully informative forum.

Adjustment procedure for rear shocks on Honda Forza 300?
I weight 180 lbs and I think the rear shocks on my 2014 Forza are rather harsh riding over our crappy city streets. The adjustment on my Reflex took seconds, but the proximity of the muffler on the right shock has lead my scooter mechanic to inform me that he will have to take off the muffler to adj...
