New baby, new house
I've been too busy to post lately, so figured I should post and check in with everyone. My wife, Marcia, and I were expecting our second son at the end of May. He was born about a month ago, on June 6th at 1540 at 10lbs 7oz / 4.7kg. It all went well, with no complications. This was very good, especi...

What oil should I use in my PCX?
This is a super-common question, and easily answered: "What oil should I use in my PCX?" 10w30. Synthetic. The only caveat the manual mentions is to make sure it doesn't say "Energy Conserving." A how-to is here: http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25 If you're in a p...

I'd send a message to the vendor. It should have included instructions. It's too easy to accidentally short your ECU.

Re: Engine lost power
Looks like Eastern NC.
I would look on Ebay. You can also get one new (aftermarket) from Thailand for fairly cheap, but it will take months to arrive.
Make sure you get the right exhaust for your PCX, the 2011 had a normal and an eSP configuration. The 150 exhaust is different too.

Re: Not starting :-(
Batteries are rated in CCA, or Cold Cranking Amps. Ironically, the CCA outputted drastically drops with lower temperatures, especially with older batteries. How long will it try to start for? A YTZ8V (the old battery) outputs 120CCA, and YTZ7S (the new battery) outputs 130CCA, so it's not a power pr...

Re: The life expenctancy of PCX, how long does she last?
I loved the pictures, thanks for sharing. I think the PCX will last decades if you take good care of it. Mel mentioned some good preventative maintenance, be proactive about doing that and your PCX will just keep going as long as you want it to. When I did a big bore kit on my first PCX at just unde...
