Re: Stop Start function oddity?

I got my voltmeter for under 5 American dollars. Now is 2021 I think it should be part of the dashboard as standard but unfortunately not. Haha ya. My previous bike was a yamaha aerox 155 and that thing had a battery meter built in. Hondas always slow to give basic necessities(gear indicator on the...

Re: Front forks seem to be pogo-ing

What's the problem? The operation of shocks is checked by examining the components and refilling with specified amount of oil. The shock should create noticeable resistance when extended by hand. What you are observing may very well be normal. then it's too soft for my liking. A stiffer spring woul...

Re: Stop Start function oddity?

Got ya. Then my bike must not be charging it enough between uses. My usual commute is usually only a quick 5 min ride one way to the office then parked for 8 hours and ridden home.

Think it's worth it to invest in a volt meter for the battery?

Re: Front forks seem to be pogo-ing

I don't think the springs are bad, more like there's too much rebound. If it's stock front forks, there's no rebound adjustment so it is what it is.

Stop Start function oddity?

So this morning I was riding to somewhere and noticed the stop start function light kept going off. Fine, the bike probably wasn't warmed up yet so I didn't pay it any mind. Then about 15 min into the ride, I stopped at a red light and the stop start function still won't work. Every time I turn it o...

Maybe check your brakes to make sure they're not staying clamped on?

Even a 125 should do well over 80 kph...

Suggestion:

Don't waste money on plugs. Ya some might be better... but you're looking at maybe .1 to .2 of a horsepower. Just go with the factory stuff and be done with it.

Re: Tire recommendation?

So... my rear City Grip got a huge slash across it and wasn't patchable. So I got a pair of Pirelli Angel Scooter tires 100/80/14 front and 120/70/14 back. I've ridden so far about 100 KM on them and wow... the feeling is way better the the City Grips I had. Going across zebra stripes, no more slidi...

Re: Brake pad recommendation.

I too use EBC pads on the front. EBC sintered specifically. They are really just replacements for the stock, I didn't notice any increased braking performance, however it is nice to have no brake dust accumulation...maybe something to consider if you are really particular on the looks of your bike,...

Looking for brake pads that gives more initial "bite" than the stock offering. Any suggestions?

Re: Tinted Visors

I have a OGK Aeroblade 5 which has a clear shield and no internal sun visor. I solved that by getting a cheap $10 pair of sun glasses. Trick of the sun glasses is to get one with flat plastic blade like frames and it'll slide/fit into helmet nicely. Most helmets now have places for glasses to go in ...

Re: How to change Brake fluid for PCX150 2018

If you aren't really mechanically inclined, may I suggest getting it done by a professional? I know the process itself isn't hard... but braking system is the only that that'll stop you and not really the place to start working on your motorcycles.

Re: Tire recommendation?

I am surprised that you have a problem with REAL City Grips. I have used nothing but MCGs. I traded out my IRCs shortly after purchasing my bike, and I had MCGs on my Burgman before that. Road grip has always been excellent with them, especially on wet roads. Maybe they are fakes, as alx123 mention...

Re: Tire recommendation?

Im running City Grip and love them. Of course part of it is bc I went with the bigger size tires. Highly recommend running the 120 front and 140 rear. Do these sizes fit without modification on the 2019 PCX? I did notice the City Grips seems to be narrower compared to the iRCs even at the same size.

Re: Tire recommendation?

How long have you been using them? Some tires need at least 100 kms to be properly broken in. I've ridden on these for over 500km now. Also, any tires will probably lose traction in a wet painted surface (i.e zebra crossing lines). Yea I realize that, but this is slipping in the dry as well. Fairly...

Tire recommendation?

Hello all I recently got a set of City Grips for my PCX and while they are alright, I've had a few incidences of it starting to slide on the zebra crossing lines. I've never noticed it to the extent it is doing now on the stock iRCs but probably due to the tread pattern on these City Grips, they are...

Re: Effects of Extended Use At/Near Governed Top Speed

I honestly don't know how some of you are getting 75mph fully stock. Mine maxes out at about 105 kph. I weigh 93 kg and have a tall windshield and even then that's about all I can get out of it. I honestly wouldn't recommend riding it at max speeds for hours at a time as it simply isn't designed for...

Racing Boy VD series rear shocks

Hi

I'm trying to find some info about these shocks (link here) from people who have used them before. How do they feel and how is the build quality?

Will these be better than the stock shocks in terms of comfort on the 2019 PCX?

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review

So I bought a set of City Grips to replace the stock iRCs both front and back due to the back tire getting an un-patchable puncture. I've ridden on it for 2 days now and so far my impression is they are grippier in the dry than the stock iRCs even at higher lean angles and with the grooves at the si...
