Re: Best mobile phone holder for a PCX?

I've been using this for years and haven't had an issue. I installed it on my left handle bar.

Re: How big a top box do you like?

I love my Shad SH39 - lots of storage space and I've never noticed any rattling.

How long can I wait?

I like to change my engine oil in my PCX once a year and I just passed the 1 year mark for the oil that's currently in it. I've only put just over 1,000 miles on it since the last oil change. I've always used Motul's 10w30 4T full synthetic scooter oil but it's been out of stock on all of the sites ...

Re: Bumpy Ride With New Tires

Some times the tire isn't "beaded" properly. There should be a line around the circumference of the tire, about an 1/8 inch from the rim. Make sure that it is a consistent distance from the the wheel, all the way around. [Check both sides]. If the line varies you'll need to reseat the tir...

Re: Bumpy Ride With New Tires

Very unusual to get PCX tyresbalanced - never seen any with weights on either. They should be ok but others have posted issues with fitting or just faulty / fake tyres. Still like the original MCG's so no issue going with them over mark II's. Do you think the beads are what's causing the vibration?...

Re: Bumpy Ride With New Tires

Did anybody balance these tires with tire weights professionally? I don’t think you can ask the ride on product to do the total balancing job if they are severely out of balance. They've never been balanced before as far as I know. There were no beads or weights present when removing the old tires.

Bumpy Ride With New Tires

I recently replaced my front and rear stock tires with Michelin City Grip 2's and I'm a little concerned and confused. I took the scooter for a few test drives all on paved roads. The first ride was noticeably bumpy / bouncy. I took both wheels off and reinstalled them again and the next ride wasn't...

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

Spacers are Fine...........A bit of touch up paint or maybe even the sharpie?? {You'll be the only one who notices probably] : ) Congratulations! Phew, glad I don't have to take the wheel off again. I looked and I can't really see it unless I'm looking for it since filling the tire up with air. I'm...

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

One last thing...do I need to lube the spacers up with the white lithium grease? I see it says to apply a thin coat to the axle, but I only cleaned the spacers and put them back on. Do I need to take the tire back off so I can grease the spacers or should I be fine?

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

My dealer will change/mount my tire for 40 bucks if I bring them the wheel. I will never do it again on my own, too much mess and I might hurt myself at my age. They not only change the tire for 40 bucks, they balance it and then completely clean it with wheel cleaner to give me back a completely p...

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

Thank you for the help everyone! I mounted the wheel with the new tire and test drove it for a few minutes. Everything seems fine and I can already tell this tire (Michelin City Grip 2) is far better than the stock tire. Putting the rear one on next week, wish me luck. ;)

Oops, I forgot that diagram above specifically says to grease it. My bad. I've been an airhead these past few days.

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

Anytime that I’m disassembling something that is important to go back the same way, I take pictures before, during and after the disassembling… Helps a lot So far I called it a night last night because I'm having a ton of trouble getting the new tire onto the rim. I guess I'm doing something wrong ...

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

The key to tire removal/install is lube. Wherever the trouble is........likely not lubed in that area. Also helps if the tire is warmed. Sometimes the lube dries before you expect, so keep it near by. Agree..........the videos make it look so easy.......Maybe they cut out the blooper section! : ) I...

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

I realize now that one is a 14mm and the other is 19mm...my bad. I'll need the values for those two bolts and possibly the brake calipers. I managed to find a removal video on Dailymotion but they don't show themselves reinstalling it unfortunately. Do I apply white lithium grease to that axle too s...

Re: Front Wheel Removal (and reinstall)

Is it as simple as unscrewing the two bolts on each side of the fork and pulling the axle out enough for the wheel to come out? That's what I assume but want to make sure. Yes it is that simple, what I did when I removed the front wheel to install a new brake disc was to put my toolbox under the sc...
