Re: Pebble watch

I certainly will. Looking at the forums, it will be towards the end of the month before it arrives.

Re: Pebble watch

Yeah, I posted this in off-topic as its nothing to do with my PCX. That said, I've seen a mount for £5 that will put the watch on my bars and give me the time. No need for anything else.

Got a shipped email today, expecting it in about two weeks. I'm a geek, and I love it.

Re: How can a 125 outperform a 150?

I don't think I could get as low as 80 if I tried? When I filled up today I had done 64 miles and it took 3.75 litres. That works out at 78mpg (imperial) 65mpg (us) Tis really easy to do, just ride at a steady 60mph. Don't mean this to be personal, but are you 'heavy'? I'm a streak of piss which is...

Re: Road Trip

Daily commutes? Of course. Once a month if the weather is fine and there's a gentle southerly breeze. Only in July. On a Friday.

Re: Road Trip

Failures? Not many. Back wheel fell off, carb manifold rubber split, gear cable snapped, large crack in exhaust u-bend, lost a circlip from gear linkage, had to replace the rear tyre. Nothing a bit of blood, sweat and cable ties wouldn't fix.

It's all part of the fun of owning a classic vehicle.

What's the destination? Leeds and York are a bit far for me.

Going here was an experience.

Road Trip

So, popped to Avignon on the Lambretta. 1600 miles, several serious incidents but an absolute scream.

I sent this pic to Mrs A after she called to ask how long it would be before I was home.

"Going to be a bit later than I thought . . ."

Here's a pic of my 'other' scoot getting some tlc on the hospital bed. This is one that hasn't been narrowed.

Re: Workbench(es)

I think I've got pictures, I'll dig them out. Not too bulky, to be honest it's a big garage so plenty of space. The scooter still needs some lifting to get it on but once on the beds are brilliant.

Re: Workbench(es)

A friend of mine has just bought four old hospital beds. He paid £40 each. He's made a plywood base, two he left alone and two he's cut narrower. Really handy having the bike up near waist height.

Buy a MacBook. Over priced, unusual software, limited compatibility. I've never looked back.

Re: Bike security - Locks?

For those of us in the trade, I think there are a couple, the advice is simple. Make your scooter harder to steal than the next one.

Re: GIVI mirror extension kit wrong threads

This is a bit weird. My UK 62 plate PCX has two right hand threaded wing mirrors. I'm sure because when I took them off I was drunk, so went back to check a couple of days later.
