Re: Dedicated heat grip socket - Truth or Myth ?!?

Re: Dedicated heat grip socket - Truth or Myth ?!?

part number seems to be only on the j website that i could find but i only searched the US: 08T71-KWN-710 i watched them install them on my bike when i picked it up. i wasnt breathing down their necks over their shoulder but the seemed to just plug them in. there was no splicing, etc from what i saw...

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

I've come out to see 3 neighborhood kids playing on my bikes before, while they were parked in my carport. I was a bit less polite then, but still didn't find violence necessary... Now, if any of the little fuckers had done any damage, things would have been different. :x it might be worth getting ...

Re: Problem with oil.

if it were burning oil, it should also be smoking. if it were leaking oil, you should notice that when it is parked. keep in mind that most bikes that hold say 3 liters of oil only have around a 500ml difference between the full mark and the not showing mark. the dipstick doesnt gauge the whole oil ...

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

seems there is a mistake on the USA site. the E231 is made to fit the monolock case. you may be able to mount the universal mounting plate to it somehow, but it seems that nobody here has tried it with the E231. therefore, i would make sure i could return the monokey set easily if it looks like it i...

The PCX load limit for topbox and contents is 10kg.
thanks, this is the information we have been after. where did you find it?

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

thought i posted but it didnt seem to go through anyway, i had a look at my scoot on my way home and i was wrong about the rack mounting. it mounts into the rear grab rail/ wing, which is definitely a relatively weak subframe. i think it is a bad idea to put a lot of weight on that as i previously s...

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

i think you should avoid putting too much weight in the box as previously stated. that being said, i was looking at one of maddies how to threads and noticed the rack probably bolts into a pretty beefy looking part of the frame. i do think there is a reason why the givi rack is made to fit the light...

Ermax +25 Windscreen

i had the givi and it was pretty good but i found myself wanting something a bit taller for cold weather and rainy days. maybe i let the bike fall over on purpose subconsciously. anyway, it broke into a dozen pieces when it hit the back of my car. at that point summer was around the corner when i pr...

really, which BMW grips did you try. both my R100RT and my F800GS grips were very warm to hot!

sounds strange to me. the bmw grips i have had were great! my OEM honda heated grips were a waste of money and very disappointing!

Re: Spot the difference - it's not the clock

A decent pair of gloves and/or bar muffs won't flatten your battery... i find that the honda grips arent powerful enough to do much good but that might be because they are shutting themselves off so often at stop lights. i prefer lighter gloves so i might try some "bar muffs" this year. t...

Re: Spot the difference - it's not the clock

the peak alternator output is 309 watts, which is pretty good for a 125cc. how many watts does do the grips draw? when i was first running my heated jacket i put a voltmeter on so i could watch how it was doing. my understanding is that if it drops below 12.8, you are overtaxing the charging system ...

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

it is true that a big windshield and topbox will make the bike more sensitive to crosswinds. it may be that you could put the universal mounting plate for one of the bigger monokey cases on the E231. the maxia is a lot heavier empty than my E370 though, so you would have less weight carrying capacit...

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

i think that the rear subframe is probably not up to the weight limit of the maxia. i feel you should stick to the 3kg limit topboxes for the PCX. am i wrong here? in addition, i know from experience that the bike will fall over on the kickstand if you put too much weight on the seat. thats how i br...

Re: PCX 150 Rear Trunk

dont buy a rack and topcase system from your dealer. they will just overcharge you. buy a givi system for your bike. i cant seem to confirm that the 150 and 125 are the same but i am 99% sure that they are. hopefully somebody can confirm. all the givi websites only list the 125 for some reason! assu...

when i worked at a car dealership, the "employee purchase plan" was a lot higher than what most customers managed to negotiate. it was a very competitive pricing dealership though.
