Re: Mobius vs. Go Pro? - Helmet or Bike Mount?

GoPro 3+ if you can afford it or 2nd hand, i wouldn't bother with the 4. I stick mine directly to my Duke.

Little video of me helping on old dear who fell off her push bike just this morning...

Re: Next road tip????

I have been carefully looking for something slightly bigger for a while now, probably an S-wing, but seeing as i still cant let go of my beloved PCX just yet i think there's one last trip left in her for me! Amazing how 18000 miles and 3 years passes by so quick!

Re: Daytime Riding with High Beam?

I have a load of LED's on my bike so i removed the left bulb (was dimming slightly with the led, twin headlight and heated grips) and ride full beam in the day and low beam at night, doesnt seem to make any difference to what i can see at night but i think side visible LED's are well worth it!

Re: Front brake 'grinding'

Its just the front brake, rear shoes are worn but in speck. The old pads were worn but still had the wear indicator ridges visible. It just started happening slowly, hard braking caused it at first the slowly needed less braking for it to grind. Cleaned out all the front and back brakes and checked ...

Front brake 'grinding'

My front brake started making a grinding noise when i brake hard on it, like there was a worn pad. I replaced the pad and the brake fluid which stopped the noise for a week or so but now its come back again! Its got a new pad, the disk is fine, i cleaned the caliper with proper cleaner and cant see ...

I finally found a good bike garage!!!

Changed the brake fluid on my bike and when i tried to reopen the reservoir the screw stripped completely round, nothing i did would shift it! Took it to Black Dog Motorcycles in Staines, they got the old one out, replaced it, checked my bike over and did it all for FREE right there and then!!!! I'm...

Re: Anyone bled the comi brake?

Hahaha, very true!

Not sure the combi brake is really needed, much like the idle stop. Might just leave it as is because im sick to death of removing any plastics from the bike!

Anyone bled the comi brake?

I went to change my brake fluid today and like a fool i used the lower bleed nipple, after a few mins of head scratching i realised what i had done. Now im concerned i have introduced some air into this! I need to know how to bleed the combi brake now! I can see the reservoir to the right of the das...

Re: warped rotor

Its well worth buying an alarmed disk for this reason. From a theft point of view its easy to get by the alarm but it means YOU will know its still there as soon as you take it off the stand! ;)

They should have done this to the S-wing instead.

The pcx still looks good so why revamp it when their 'top line' scooter is looking so dated!

Re: Latest PCX

Need to sell my PCX asap now as this is going to devalue mine so much, worth it just for the new dash and im sure the center stand wont snap off either.

Still looking at SYM Joymax 300i but theres not many 2nd hand about...

Re: Best winter tires?

Thats amazing, would love to do a proper hardcore adventure. I did a trip round Europe and every morning i started the bike i had my fingers crossed. In the arse end of nowhere like that i would be shitting starting it in the morning, very real chance of not ever making it home!

Re: Best winter tires?

I used City Grips in the snow last year and it was fine, obviously you will slide about and risk your life but i got out my snow covered road and onto the main gritted roads without too much trouble. If you live somewhere with heavy snow in the winter or intend to ride in the snow often then 2 wheel...

I was shocked at just how quiet the PCX is, doing shift work i think my neighbors appreciate it when im setting off at 4am!

My only recommendation would be to get a push bike!

Re: Video of removing the rear wheel for brake and drum chec

Its the R319 that fit the PCX, expensive but the best. You can get cheapo ones on ebay for like £15, most can be forced to fit but my first pair only lasted a year so i bought the Tucano.

Handle bar muffs! Keeps the rain and wind off, but they do look a little silly. I ride all year round in the snow, rain and frost so they are essential really.

Re: Video of removing the rear wheel for brake and drum chec

Good advice!

I bought the impact driver for the variator nut but it worked well for the wheel too. Its worth the £30 but you wouldn't want to carry it with you so its good to see alternatives especially if your touring, a bit of velco isnt much to carry.
