Re: 7500 Mile Maintenance

Just got the bike back and it's running pretty darn good!

The juddering and squealing was from worn clutch weights and a glazed over belt.

7500 Mile Maintenance

Alright so I have a question for all of you that have already hit your 7,500 mile maintenance. How much did the bill run you? I've got an issue with a local bike shop that did my girlfriends bike where they charged an absurd amount (imo). I just want to compare this cost to others. This bill include...

Ha!

Spoke too soon, it started doing it again. Oh well. The noise doesn't seem to have any effect on anything really.

Re: Noises on our PCX's

Update on this issue. This could be just coincidence... but after my rear tire was replaced the sound went away! I don't understand it, but I do recall the mechanic having a hell of a time getting the swing arm off! Like a REALLY hard time getting it off. After he got that off he threw on some lubri...

Re: Slow Forum

Wolf39, why are you moving from Tsmpa Bay back into the cold Northeast? We have been considering moving to Florida. For many reasons actually. Florida is too hot for one. It may seem that 80F is comfortable on paper... but when you add in humidity and dew point and realize that Florida is almost al...

Re: New User Here

Hello PCX owners. I am one too (2013 stock red model with almost 5000 miles on it) and just found this forum. Hopefully not messing it up and posting this introduction in the right place... I'm in Florida. Welcome, I'm also in Florida (Largo, FL). I'm leaving the state though in pursuit of a new jo...

Re: Do you feel comfortable taking your PCX 150 on the freew

My PCX tops at about 63 mph after it's had some time to get to that speed. I actually DO feel comfortable on the highways despite the 60mph speed limits (average driver 65-70mph). I drove my PCX from Clearwater Beach, FL to Sarasota Beach, FL on I-275 and I-75 for a total of 93.5 mi one way (70 of w...

Re: Fast food

I have... BK doesn't detect my bike. McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts do. Couple of other places won't detect my bike either lol. My biggest problem are RED LIGHTS not picking up on my bike! I usually have to look for the wire in the road and bring my center stand down just a little by reaching with my f...

Re: Yamaha tops PCX

I like my PCX. While it shudders in the first 1-3mph and I don't exactly like that, so far I've driven it for 8,000 miles and have had 0 problems! :-) I've also driven the bike from Clearwater Beach to Sarasota Beach which is a little over 90 miles one way with only mild discomfort coming back. I do...

oh my... but then, would I just charge my battery under the seat or would I wire it to the cluster and get a mount? lol
