Re: weather in Britain

Up here in the NW of England we've had about 10 days of good weather in a row.. People are actually starting to use the term "heatwave"....I refer to think of it as "not raining" which is just as rare... But since getting my pcx125 Jan last year this has been the best run of ridi...

Re: Shoei FF Sale till Papa's Day!!

I've got all the receipts when I bought scooter and gear at the same time but can't find the helmet warranty.. If you have yours I'd appreciate any info.. As I say no big deal but thought it worth asking the forum!

Re: Shoei FF Sale till Papa's Day!!

bit off topic but still Shoei.. I bought my Shoei Qwest in Jan 2012 and the small lever that locks the visor has snapped off. Apparently its cheap and easy to replace but I spent a fair bit on the helmet (you only get one head after all) and I kinda think it should last longer than 18 months... Wort...

Jodrell Bank

Took a bit of a ride around Cheshire (NW UK) tonight and stopped off at the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank for a few sunset pics. Thought I'd share a few here.. A couple more on my blog wp.me/p1mkWM-gk

Summers here! (for a day.. in the UK)

Well, that strange orange glow in the sky has been out for most of the day and it got me thinking.. I never ride my pcx125 without the full protective trousers and jacket but feel a slight pang of jealousy when I see someone whizzing around in shorts and t-shirt.. Now, are they being the idiot riski...

Re: New member - planning to get a UK PCX125 - advice?

Your situation sounds very similar to mine. I commute 36 miles a day in the NW and have done it every day rain or shine since January last year. Similar roads too, I could choose mostly dual carriageways but after a while get bored so prefer to go a more direct route through a few towns instead, muc...

Re: Outdoor storage

Cheers all,

That's quite reassuring. After a year I'm still managing my new rider resolution of giving it a wash every weekend, and its my daily commute bike so regular use is covered.. Consider my paranoid mind calmed!

Outdoor storage

All, I've had my pcx125 for just over a year and it's stored outside both at home and work. I've got an Oxford cover for it which does seem to give it good protection but I'm a bit concerned about shortening it's lifespan by not having it in a garage. Anyone else store theirs outside? Can you put a ...

Re: Ground anchor problems? (tarmac/concrete)

Blimey, £650?! I thought mine was high at £360. I also use a ground anchor in the drive (concrete) with a hefty chain. We're getting the drive done soon and was thinking about what to do for the bike, ie getting something sunk into it while it's being worked on, but take your point about the determi...
