Re: Honda Forza 125

That price is under the current price of an S-Wing125 in the UK (with a conversion rate of 1.25 Euros to the GBP). I'd guess that when it comes out it will be the same price.

Re: Honda Forza 125

If the Forza 125 is a replacement for the S-Wing, does this mean we can expect a Forza 600/650 to replace the Silver Wing? Both the S-Wing and Silver Wing look a bit 'old'.

A Forza 650 three wheeler would be nice.

Re: Birmingham to Scotland and back again on our Honda PCX

I started to go around the UK coast last year but abandoned the trip due to weather and the need for a service and drive belt. The PCX is easily capable of the trip you're planning. The main problem you have is the small fuel tank and getting a numb bum if you ride for too long without a decent brea...

Re: New PCX, CBT advice

You took a CBT before? If you passed then you're OK to ride a 125 on the road for two years after the pass date. If you passed but haven't ridden since you could ask your instructor if they could take you out for an hours tuition/refresher just to build your confidence and stay safer. If you failed ...

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...

Be careful of putting too much liquid gasket on - it gets squeezed when you tighten the cover down and could get pushed into the chain, and then go god knows where and maybe block a tube/hole or something. It really doesn't need much liquid gasket, but you do have to be careful when you reseat the c...

Re: Ground anchor problems? (tarmac/concrete)

Re chains. Take a look at this and weep: VC3hFr8p2ck You could buy one of their Almax chains and a recommended lock but I don't know how much more secure your scoot will be. If you only want to secure it at home then use several chains (16mm and above) and an alarmed disc lock. Hopefully your scoot ...

Honda NSS300 Forza

Anyone seen this yet? Looks nice. Don't know how it compares to the X10 though - a side by side review would be nice.

Re: MC Endorsement

Cost me $50.00 for the three day MSF course given by the state of Delaware. I would never have considered riding more than 50cc without the endorsement. In fact, I don't think the dealer would have sold me the PCX without it. And, when I registered the bike today the DMV clerk asked to see my licen...

Re: Bar Muffs

Yes, those are the bar end ones. The closed end ones that I used (and still have) were secured on the handlebars with a couple of zip ties hidden within the muff. If you have heated grips then don't use the bar end version. I found I had to cut the hole for the brake leavers a little to a) get them ...

Off topic but maybe of interest to you. Take a look at the Triumph clothing website. They do a jacket and a vest which have LED lighting built in - white on the front, red on the back. ;)

Re: Wider Tires

Get some Michelin City Grips. You can lean so far over in a corner that you scrape the panels. See here.

Plenty of grip and very predictable, I can't see a bigger tyre giving any advantage over standard sizes - braking maybe? Anyone know?

Re: Honda NC700

I'm definitely missing the storage. I suppose I'm getting used to it though.

I've got some soft panniers arriving tomorrow so it'll be a bit more practical. I always wear a back pack if I'm going for a long ride, to carry waterproofs etc.

Re: Honda NC700

So my last tank I rode fast roads and town riding too. Mix of normal riding and also opening her up for more fun and I got 75 mpg for my S. This is what I can expect for my riding style and I dont believe anyone who says they are geting 90 mpg+. Bullshit if you ask me and they either not worked out...

+1 on the pinlock and finger wiper blade thing (I've got two in case I lose one - tie a bit of elastic to it and wrap it round your glove's velcro cuff strap thing)

I hate wearing spectacles in cold weather when riding - misting up etc. - I'm going to invest in some contacts.

Re: The end of the affair.

My old PCX is up for sale for £1795 :o  with the dealer I traded it with.

I can't believe they're serious. I was thinking about offering them a couple of hundred quid to take it off their hands if it doesn't sell easily, that was before I saw what they were asking. Crazy.

The end of the affair.

 I've said goodbye to my PCX. Traded in, along with another bike, for a KTM 690 Enduro R. I'm missing it already - can't really do any shopping on the 690, you can cross the Sahara but it's defeated by groceries. I did 14658 miles in 19 months of happy riding with only a couple of very minor an...

I see Honda are talking about another NC700. I wonder if this will replace the Integra - I doubt they've sold many.

A less ugly Integra with good storage would be a good thing.

Not sure how the figure was split between the bikes. They now have it for sale at £3195!
