Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I agree Maddiedog. I have decided on taking my scooter to another dealership in the area for future service. I have to take it up whenever it warms up a bit for the 600 mile oil change. After they do that I will have them store the scooter there since it will be free with the service. The only time ...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I figure that I will give you all an update on my scooter. I did get it back almost couple of weeks ago. It was covered under warranty. They replaced the belt and a gasket cover. The paperwork stated, "APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SOME ASSEMBLY GREASE ON THE ROLLERS OF DRIVE PLATE BELT DUST AND ASSEMBL...

Re: Move over Honda! I think i just found my next ride!
In the future I might look at the Burgman depends how my PCX holds up. I looked at it a couple of weeks ago and I like some of the features that it has but right now I will stick with what I have until it proves to be a problem.

Re: Stored for Winter 2013
I hoping for one more warmer day so I can take it in for my 600 mile oil change and then it will be it for the winter. We just got our first 1" of snow today. I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter this year.

Re: Stored for Winter 2013
I'm with OriginalRocket. I haven't put it away yet since I just got it back from the dealer. I want to try and ride a bit more before storage to make sure that the problem I had was indeed fixed. My husband is still riding his shadow and plans to continue as long as there's no snow or ice. I'm not t...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
No, I used that as an example. Whenever we had any problems in the past 12 years both dealers we used took care of the problems without giving us the third degree. They even replaced my husband's bulb after 4 years because he has the xenon headlights all while the car was under warranty. My car is o...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I've never ownered anything Honda before this year. I do own 2 Nissans. I have never had any issues when I take our cars in even if it is making a werid sound. They have taken things apart to get to the root of a problem. If this how Honda operates I doubt I will ever buy another Honda product. I di...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I did call Honda USA they said that the reason that they will replace the belt as a courtesy is that if it falls under warranty all parts are sent to Honda Japan. If the parts aren't deemed defective they won't pay for the repair. This would never fly if it was a car. He said that the service guys sa...

Re: mirror extenders - cross posted from gallery section
I thought about extenders for my mirrors as well. In my case it's because I'm fat. Yes I can admit that. My problem is I can only see from one mirror or the other, no matter how I adjust the mirrors. I also had a problem getting a jacket. I looked at the women's jackets on Revzilla and Leatherup and...

Re: painting chromy parts
I agree that the Plasti dip is the way to go. My husband's cousin had this done to her car. While I'm not into to a fluorescent pink cars, it was something different. You can find a butt load of videos on Youtube.

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I've found another dealer. We have three that are in the area. I just found the third because of this situation. The reason we choose this one because we have dealt with the closest one in the area twice before last year. Once when we were looking at a bike for my husband and years ago when we were ...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I went to the dealer instead of calling. I figure it might get my point across better if I did it in person and this way it also kept me in check so that I wouldn't swear or raise my voice. I told him that I felt that the questions that he asked made it sound like I did something wrong. He asked if ...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
To make matters worse I talked to my husband and the service guy said that Honda said they would replace the belt this time out of courtesy. Then the guy asked if I was heavy on the trottle. That's in addition to asking if I was driving 2 up or carring a heavy cargo. All in the name of trying to fin...

Petersjm, thanks for the video. Yes, that is the same sound I heard from my PCX. Although the dealer said he never heard of the PCX having any problems.

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I agree. That is one reason why I went with the PCX. My husband's Shadow is 10 years old and it has been problem free. I have to say I'm not to keen on the guy who runs the service department. The first time I brought it in, he seem not to believe me. That's why I made my husband drive it the second...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
Well my husband talked to them when they called today and said they are going to replace the belt. Then they asked if I have ever rode 2 up or carried heavy cargo. Of course I have done neither. I have to say if I have problems with the scooter again. I will be getting rid of it. Then they will also...

Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!
I called the dealersh and asked about my scooter, since it's been a week with no news. We the belt is shot and it will have to be replaced. They are calling up Honda tomorrow to find how to procede since they don't see a reason why the belt failed. They are baffled by it because they have never had ...

Re: One year ago......
Bought mine mid July. I wanted to wait until I took the MSF course to drive it. I broke my foot but finally got to ride it in September. I put 400 miles on it and it ended up in the shop. They couldn't find anything wrong, so I picked it up and put another 100 miles on it before I had to take it bac...

Re: does the PCX have any common problems? (if any)
Right now I have mine in the shop for apparent belt slippage. Although I believe it's just my scooter as I have never heard of anyone having this problem either on this forum and neither has the dealer. My scooter has about 550 miles on it. I'm hoping that I don't have a lemon in the bunch. If I do,...
