Re: PCX 150 in the shop again!

The reason that the first time I took it back home without them taking it apart was because I had never heard anyone having this problem before. Even the shop said they had never had this problem before that it's a pretty solid scooter. Gn2 definitely not normal. I bought the scooter in July and I w...

PCX 150 in the shop again!

Just took my PCX in for the second time. The 1st time at around 400 miles and now at about 500 miles. My husband and I decided to go out for a couple of weeks ago. The drive was about 42 miles round trip. The trip out there was fine but on the trip home about 7 miles from home I started hearing a sq...

Re: Why did it have to be the right hand?

I fractured my foot during the MSF course. Didn't pass the course and I had a boot on for 6 weeks. I've just started riding a couple of weeks ago. Although I cheated and rode it a week earlier then the doctor said I could. Have patience.

Re: Good upgrade bike

I drove the Honda Rebel during my MSF course and I found it was too small for me. My husband bought a used Honda Shadow 600. It is a nice beginner bike but he found it too small being 6'3 and 280lbs. He did put forward controls on ot to give him more leg room. Next year he is planning on getting a l...

Re: NH Motorcycle Exam

I've taken the MSF course and the IL DMV test. While they are pretty much the same the one at the DMV was done in a much smaller area. I haven't passed either test to date. During the MSF course I ended breaking my foot and didn't pass the test by 4 points. After I was able to take the boot off the ...

I won't ride in the rain if can help it. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to checking the weather, but there are always the times that the weather person is wrong. I'm glad that it has it's been worth the money.

Love the helmet but all I can say is "ouch" when I looked at the price. It's $629.00 on Revilla's site.

Re: Finally got to ride.

Thanks everyone. It really has been though. Yesterday we saw three scooters but countless motorcycles. My husband asked why I didn't wave at any of the motorcyclist and I told him since it was only my second day out on the scooter that I needed to concentrate on what I was doing since some of the sp...

Re: Finally got to ride.

Shhh, we just won't tell my doctor. I'm sure she would not approve o_O. Surprising I've been testing the foot out with little or no pain. I still limp with regular boots on but I'm sure once I get more flexibility back that will go away. I have been chomping at the bit to ride it. My husband said he...

Finally got to ride.

After almost 2 months I finally got to ride my PCX other than the one time in the parking lot. Last week I went to the DMV and got my permit. It's been 4 weeks since I broke my foot and it seems to be healing well. My husband was putting forward controls on his bike and I was looking at the PCX and ...

I would love to ride with someone once I'm able to ride. I have at least another two weeks with my boot on the broken foot.

Re: Can't ride, so frustrated!

Novemberdelta, I feel your pain and frustration. I bought my Pcx150 2 months ago and I have only ridden it once in a parking lot for about 20 minutes. I didn't have my license yet so I couldn't ride it. I decided to take the MSF course and on the last day of the course I broke my foot. I'm going on ...

Re: Best Time to Buy?

I talked to my dealer when I bought mine and he said that there wasn't a huge mark up on the scooters here in the US. I was able to get him to knock off about $100. They make all their money off the bigger bikes. That's why when I first walked in there they were trying to get my husband to buy a bik...

Re: to AVOID on the road

The MSF course actually talks about dogs. They say the best bet is to slow down and when the dog slows down then you speed up. they aren't supposed to be able to keep up with you. The instructors also said, never kick the dog only their owners.

Re: You're a biker? Questions, questions

Taz I feel for the BMW rider. Heck I didn't have to have 1000cc on top of me to break my foot just a Honda Rebel 250cc. That's what I get for laughing at my husband. Karma is a real witch. I'm thinking about getting a toy stuffed possum and putting it on his bike while it's in the garage, because I ...

Here in Illinois it isn't a requirement that you even have turn signals, although then you have to use hand signals. I'm sure you are right that if I changed them no one would be the wiser.

Re: How many nations (countries) are represented by riders h

I don't blame you. I will never go to Chicago with my scooter. Although I love the St. Louis Zoo and the museums, but getting through the MO side is pretty hairy. We were last down there a year ago Labor day. I have family that live in Mascoutah, IL.
