Also turn the slowly plug backwards until you feel it drop into the plug threads. Then tighten.

Re: Does my bike need an annual service if it's only done 1,500 miles?

Thanks for all the replies, really helpful. The bike is stored in an underground parking lot and the temperature never drops close to freezing. I think I'll just check the oil today and possibly top it up if needed, but I doubt it needs changing. I'll get the full service done at 8,000 miles. I'm i...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

I think my Forza is parked until March. No money, no insurance. We are getting rain and snow forever. The mountains around me have fallen down and wiped out most of our major highways. Heavy, heavy rain. Rain today also. It will take months to repair them all. Billions of dollars. My power was out ...

Re: Does my bike need an annual service if it's only done 1,500 miles?

Exactly as the title says. I have a 2018 PCX, which has only done 1,500 miles since its last service last November (from 4,000 miles up to 5,500). Do I still need a minor service (oil and filter), or shall I wait until I hit the suggested interval of 8,000 miles? Many thanks. Alot depends on how it...

Re: Acceleration feels "rough" when moving off from a standstill

Hi all, In the last 2 weeks, it felt "rough" while moving off from a standstill. I thought it was the clutch pads. So I looked around the forum and there were people recommending the 22535-KVB-900. I placed an order for it, it arrived and I went to the workshop to install it, as well as n...

Re: what has happened to this site?

My wife's arm/shoulder has healed but gives her limited range since they had to reattach tendons, ligaments, etc. The left shoulder was really splintered, so now she has composite plates and screws in there. (She is really allergic to nickel, which most surgical metals have in them, so they had to ...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

It got to 7C today, lunch at Tims in Popkum, walk at Harrison Hot Springs, run to bathroom at home. I think all this riding has destroyed my kidneys. My doctors are idiots. I peed on my hands the other day, it was nice and warm for a few seconds. Most people use the hand dryers to warm up. Are you ...

Re: what has happened to this site?

you you, There are days, like today, when the nerves that run down my legs (both) will spike every time I take a step. Standing is difficult, but I do my best to"walk it off". Eventually, I can walk with fewer spikes. Riding is out of the question during that time. "Growing some"...

Many many variables go into the lifespan of the engine. These are: number of cold starts, duration of heat up cycle, ambient temperature, load, load until fully warmed up, quality of the fuel, assembly of the engine, ring clearance, valve clearance, bearing clearance, amount of dust particles in th...

Re: Lifespan

After my first dealer oil change I switched to full synthetic oil. With synthetic oil you can expect less wear on the engine, and changing the oil at 4,000 miles is still considered early (the recommended change cycle for all synthetic oil is 7,500 miles). I have done this with every bike I have ow...
