Re: Mirror extenders
I have the tall Givi and originally ordered the mirror extenders ($ 13 extra). I found that I did not need them and sent them back. you just need to position the mirrors so that the seat comes up between them to the tall screen.

Re: The Wheels on a Scoot Go Round and Round...
Hey PCX Forum, But, I have to say that the 11" and 10" wheels are causing me some real concern. Seems like the 14" on the PCX150 would really do the trick. Does anyone have any strong thoughts about wheel size and safety? I would be riding in the Northern New Jersey area... And, the ...

Re: New member, and some newb questions
Hey Dressed to the Nines! remember that old saying?!! anyway, to answer a few of your questions... a large windscreen does not act like a sail, but in fact enables you to sail better. no wind blowing on you and you tend to go faster and feel more comfortable while doing so. as to the helmet and wind...

Mel and DJCat are right. use all the hi vis stuff you can, but in the end, ride like you are invisible.

Re: Fuelly.com call to arms
Interesting! thanks for sharing. looks like the average PCX gets 97 -- 102 mpg. I'm at 106 and decreasing towards the 102 mark! going faster as my comfort zone increases makes my fuel mileage decrease.

Major discovery... a bottle of wine fits in the lockable box in the fairing 8) I've made a stop on the way home at the beer distributor (we have those in Pa. can't get a 6 pack at the grocery store yet.. Pennsylvania is in the dark ages when it comes to buying beer and wine) and fit an 18 packer un...

seat latch not closing. see previous posts on tweeking the 2 screws.
I like the back seat hump! you guys are always complaining about it. I don't think it's an issue at all.

Re: Why did it have to be the right hand?
most of us are 40--60+ on this site so we're ALWAYS hurting ourselves one way or another. to what extent and how long we're out of commission is another story. I went from my buddy 150 scooter to a 250 Kymco. bad decision, especially when I put it down twice. ouch! my ankle and elbow. said to myself...

Re: NH Motorcycle Exam
I took the safety course here in Ohio about 6 weeks ago. I highly recommend it to everyone who rides (or wants to ride) a bike. I learned a lot of things in that course that are very useful and makes me a better/safer rider. At the end of the course, we took the skills test to get our license. So, ...

Re: FORZA THREADS!
I was wondering when this question was going to come up, with a few PCX-ers "jumping ship" to go to the forza. I think you should keep both in the same forum. where you ultimately decide to put the threads is up to you, Maddiedog. I like the guys that just bought forza's and I think the su...

Re: What is the most gas-efficient speed?
mostly I do 35--50 mph on a 20 mile commute each day. I was getting around 115 mpg. the last fill up I was cruising around 50--60 mph a lot and got 92 mpg. NOW I see why, by reading the above posts. I like to maximize my gas mileage but when I really thought about it, it's all about fun on a PCX! so...

you know, the thing is, lately, I've been have a hard time removing my gas cap too! that's what I like about this site, knowing it's not just me!!! I just twist a bit harder to remove. I think it's the seal, like cheap ride said earlier. then again, I could just stuff the rag down, like he suggested...

the hubby and I were just talking about the S turns on the course the other day. we both went thru the course and both had trouble on those darn figure 8 turns. the thing is, the people that taught the course said we would never use them but had to pass them. think about it, when you want to back up...
