Not really. The secret of doing it right is: take your right leg and step firmly on the trigger. It will come up almost with no effort. Hands are only needed to hold it upright while you're at it.

Here's an article about the new SH150i. It claims that the SH150 has more power. Judging by the photos the rear suspension is attached further back and the airbox is different. The current European SH150 shares the same engine with the PCX 150. So, the answer is yes, if we are talking about the new SH150 introduced in 2013.
