Re: Tyre comparison

Impressive difference. I'd go with city grips as replacements based on that comparison. Tread design alone would seem like they would grip much better and give a lot more confidence in cornering. Thanks gn2!

Re: Ordered a new black PCX150

A Givi windscreen, if it's made for the PCX, is excellent. You can switch it with the stock screen in about 10 minutes with no problem. Look for the tutorial on this forum that has step by step instructions. Easy peasy!

Re: Decision between PCX and S-Wing

The Silver Wing is not a 125cc machine. It has a 582cc liquid-cooled four-stroke parallel-twin. The MSRP is around $9000 whereas the PCX is just shy of $3500. Big difference in bikes. The Silver Wing is also almost twice the weight.

Re: Best Place 4 2011 PCX 150cc After-Market Upgrades / Cust

I thought when I looked under the scooter at the back end of the crankcase it was stamped with 153cc. Maybe I was looking at something else under there, it was when I checked my center stand to see how it was attached.

Re: Best Place 4 2011 PCX 150cc After-Market Upgrades / Cust

Look at the vendor section of this site. I have had good luck with Bikerz Bits and saved a bit of $ too. Someone more knowlegable can correct me here, but I dont think the 150 came out until the 2012 model year. I don't think the 150 was made in that year either. Maybe some unscrupulous dealer reba...

Re: Stolen PCX 150 repair

That damage really sucks. Probably some kids out to have what they thought was fun. I have a friend who had his car stolen and the police found it at the bottom of a small ravine. The thieves pushed the car over the edge and then tossed boulders down on it. I saw pictures of it after they managed to...

Re: Stolen PCX 150 repair

No insurance? If it's busted up as bad as you've described, you've got a lot of work to do. Sorry I can't help with any info. Feel bad for you, hope you can get it all put back together.

Re: Pcx additions so far

Was the Givi screen easy to install? I'm debating adding one... I know it might help with mileage, and some wind protection, but I'm not 100% convinced it's worth it yet. Let us know what you think! Follow Maddiedogs instructions elsewhere in this forum. I did mine and it took all of 5 minutes. Too...

Re: Fuel type in us

It's next to impossible to find any gas that doesn't have 10% ethanol added. I've never seen straight gas in southwest Utah. Even traveling cross country it is extremely rare to see it. Last summer the country suffered a severe corn shortage and it was either use corn to feed cattle or make ethanol....

Re: Increasing mpg with each fill up?

I seem to be getting increased mpg after each fill up. I have done 5 fill ups since I bought the bike and the total miles I have been getting from each fill up had been as follows. 130, 140, 141, 143, 146. Are you saying you run it completely out of gas for each fill up? If not then the mileage on ...

Re: Used PCX150 Price?

The out the door price for a new one is about right. One with only 90 miles on it has to be like new and 3000 seems to be fair. There will be at least sales tax added. May have been better if you could have purchased direct from the owner. Post on what happens. Great scooter by the way.

Does anyone have a USA source for Honda decals or any fancy decals for that matter. I don't want to spend a lot on something like pin striping if I can get a cheap, good looking alternative. Also, any pictures of anything done to your scoots would be appreciated. Just looking for an economical way t...
