Europe trip video
Finally got round to making a video of my trip round Europe last year. The pcx is very capable of long trips and i had the adventure of my life, apart from France...France was mostly shit. http://youtu.be/NY-ehcVWjNE This July i'm looking into doing the south coast from Brighton to Land's End, then ...

Re: Video: Emergency Mid-Corner Braking on a PCX
Hate to say it but ive nearly done this several times. Once glancing at a satnav just as someone braked hard and a couple of times coming to a roundabout where im looking more at traffic approaching on the roundabout rather than whats going on in front of me. I'm a much better driver (car and scoote...

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...
Yeah i did put the gasket on too thick, i plan on taking it for a short run then changing the oil and hopefully any excess that went in will be in the screen.
Its all a learning process, just hope my bike survives all the lessons!

Re: Wave retraction
In the UK i get nods back from most bikes but almost never from fellow scooters...even the other pcx riders i see. I think its that most scooter riders feel they don't belong so often dont look for the nod. Try walking down the street on foot and nod at someone on a bike and i almost guarantee you t...

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...
Finally stripped the bike again (only 15min job now i know what to do!) and checked where the leak came from. Seems like the reason you need the sealant is for the 90 degree angle of the gasket round the curved part of the casing, think its the only time ive actually seen a gasket thats not plain fl...

Re: Oil leak, or normal?
Clear tube with a crimped end off the back of the airbox . It get full of stray oil and like condensation, it fills up real fast when it's cold out. It mentions in the manual to clean it out when if fills. Most of the pcx I see have it full and goo leaking out the bottom of the airbox where it's ove...

Re: Oil leak, or normal?
Thats never normal, 15000 miles and ive not got this. If you breather pipe is full then goo will leak out the bottom of the airbox (theres a little hole) but then tends to run down the front of the casing, seen that on several of the pcx at work. Thinking final oil is leaking... Take it back to the ...

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...
Think im going to have one more go at it and leave the liquid gasket a full 24 hours to set as it looks like the leak came from the area that is applied to.

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...
I took the head off again and readjusted the valves. Sounded exactly the same so took it for a quick ride, came back to find im smoking like a factory!!!! Looks like i somehow didnt seat the case back right or messed up the liquid gasket because theres oil fired all under the bike! :o :o :o Really w...

Tapping valves after doing clearances...
Had a go at my valves today, just put it back together and started it up but it sounds like i messed it up!? :( Seem to remember it making some kind of noise like this before i played with it, maybe all the bodywork is making sound louder? Should there be no noise at all from there? http://www.youtu...

Re: MC Endorsement
Rode my PCX for a year then looked at doing the full test...£800 and about 4 days, if you fail its £100ish to redo the test! Booked the test myself (under £100 for both mods) and watched a load of youtube videos on how to ride the way they want you to. Passed both first time and saved a fortune but ...
