Re: Got PCX150 today was wrecked-need help

The fact that you get the speedo sweep and fuel pump prime sounds bodes well for the ECU, but I don't know much. I recall when mine would not start finding the ridiculous counsel from the manual about swapping out with a known, good ecu, like everyone has a couple hanging around. You have tried putt...

Re: got pcx150 today was wrecked need help

It sounds like you have a really good handle on things to check. The one thing that is not clear is that you have an actual, known to be at least pretty OK battery installed. The ECM on these things is VERY picky. I could find nothing in the service manual about a reset switch, but I confess I did n...

Re: PCX Ride from NJ to CA - Part I

Indeed! The more the better! Congratulations on what must have been an epic ride. I use "view new posts", so I usually see what is being discussed. You are right about stuff getting buried, but that is the nature of this kind of board. Threads "unbury" when they get responded to ...

You are encouraged to document any and all work you do on your 2017. There are some differences between years and models, and the more info we can get on the site, the more useful the site is to more people. All you guys and gals with newer machines, set up the camera and break out your wrenches and...

Re: Truthfully, how often do you check your oil?

Right you are! Page 64: 1. Place your scooter on its center stand on a firm, level surface. 2. If the engine is cold, idle the engine for three to five minutes. 3. Turn the ignition switch off, stop the engine and wait 2 or 3 minutes. 4. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick and wipe it clean. 5. Insert ...

Re: Truthfully, how often do you check your oil?

Truthfully, I'm lucky to check once in two months. As I understand it cold is best, and on a level surface on the center stand. My driveway is pretty sloped, so to do the job "right" is tricky.

clearly I should check more often, but you asked for truthful.

Yea! That's awesome!

It's always a crapshoot when you offer your opinion or advice. I THINK I know what I'm doing/saying, but one can never be certain of oneself all the time.

Just ask my wife....

Re: Whats a fair price to offer for this 13 150?

Yes and no. If there is no pressing need to sell and yo have a perceived value below which an offer becomes an insult, then you wait. And maybe wait a long time, until someone appreciates your fine offering for what it is.

Or you eventually drop your price..... and piss an moan about it for months.

Re: Shuttle won’t stay open

You are probably right to think about cleaning the whole key assembly. I guess you used a drop or two of regular oil and the shutter is now working fine. The issue is that the oil will attract dust and dirt and possibly get gummy over time. I would be looking for something like electrical contact cl...

WN - nice find! I'm better than I was when I first got the scoot, but sometimes we still forget, only to notice the flashing a half mile down the road. This little mod does not seem to difficult to pull off. Certainly worth a bookmark. Thanks.
