Re: What is the most gas-efficient speed?

Yep, understood.
With no tachometer or shift lever, it's a matter of listening to the engine and sensing the vibrations.

Re: Love my PCX

That sounds great! You are really making the most of your Honda.
So you've not found it necessary to trickle charge, even in winter?
Most excellent.

What is the most gas-efficient speed?

What would you guess to be the most gas-efficient speed for a PCX 150 on flat ground with no wind? Would a team of PCX riders be able to achieve even better gas mileage than a single rider, if they were able to efficiently operate at this speed, sharing turns at the front of the formation and benefi...

Bash On! wrote:Heck, I don't really care what's on the scooter so I'd take that deal for pretty much any advertising. Only caveat would be something that would get me shot or run over, such as a gun-control group's ad here in Texas.
Ha! Good point, Tex.

NICE, Dustin!
Hey ... I find that I can get the scooter up on the center stand just putting my weight on the center stand footpeg thingie. No real need to grip the grab bar.
Nice luggage!!

A local news story brought this one to mind -- Bimbo, a regional baking company.
I don't wanna ride for "Bimbo".

Re: Ahhh ... the image inside our head

Watching episodes of "Long Way Round" last night sure drove home the point that the huge BMW adventure bikes, fully laden, are just not the easiest way to navigate deep sand or bog ... not for the average Joe/Jane rider.
At the same time, several coworkers ride them on pavement.

Free scooters -- if you'll advertise their product

I am drawn to great marketing images, I admit it. Even though I am WAAAAY out of the demographic sought by Red Bull beverages, I really like their logo and their association with some exciting motor sports. However ... if someone even opens a can of the stuff in my general vicinity, the smell makes ...

Ahhh ... the image inside our head

Fun (and funny) article on RideApart --
http://rideapart.com/2013/09/guide-to-m ... ategories/
It speaks to the various genres of motorcycle currently being marketed -- Sport bike, Adventure, Cruiser and so on -- comparing what we think we're doing, versus what we're actually doing.

Re: Honda Forza 300

... For my next scooter the current shortlist is Yamaha Xmax 250, Honda Forza 300 and Yamaha Majesty 400. There's plenty time for me to decide, I won't be changing for a year or so. Much depends what's on the second hand market at the time, I doubt I would buy new again. The Daily Mail reports you ...

This PIAA horn interests me -- https://www.denniskirk.com/214978.sku?u ... medium=cse
It appears to be fairly small and doesn't require installation of a separate relay.
