Re: Yuminashi mods
I guess what I'm saying is (no offense) we don't want to be on this adventure of further modifications with you. We would prefer to look at you as an authority in being able to tell us which parts to use for our goals. I hope you can understand this. An example, recently I spoke to you about your hi...

Re: Yuminashi mods
Agreed. I think that is what our forum members here are looking at. Many of us ride at US freeway speeds which means a minimum of 113 kph. Should we be doing this on larger bikes? Probably, however that is where you and other manufacturers come in. We are looking for ways to make touring at those sp...

Re: Yuminashi mods
Can you explain why your distributors say it is not of good quality if it's not available yet?

Re: Yuminashi mods
Reggie, my mistake. I was told by a distributor that lists your 175cc kit that it was out of stock and he was manufacturing his own. Another manufacturer told me that he was not selling your 175cc kit because of quality issues. All I was aware of was that fact that your kit was advertised and unavai...

Re: Variators for increased speed,
Daytona vario with interchangeable ramps, 12g dr pulley sliders, advance pro drive face and a good reinforced belt. This will net you around 80 mph on the stand with great acceleration. I'd say 73-75 mph on a flat.

Re: Yuminashi variator and belt
I'll try to tomorrow morning Vlad. We just moved and the bike and all my parts and tools are in the old garage. I found that the yuminashi variator and the daytona variator have the same top speed on the stand so I just quit with the yuminashi piece. The multi angle drive face also dropped rpms sign...

Re: Yuminashi mods
To those that have good luck with yuminashi good for you. There are many people including on the grom forum that have had issues with yuminashi. Including some bore and piston sets that did not match and caused engine failures. I requested information on a 175 cc yuminashi big bore kit from PCX raci...

Re: Yuminashi mods
Personally, I had issues with belt shutter at take off on my 150 with their variator. Then the facing started chunking off of the driven face. I also have their Contra spring installed and all of the powder coat has flaked off within 1000 miles. I won't be purchasing any more of their parts. I tried...

Daytona vario with 12g rollers for 80mph top speed on a pcx 150. Should be over 75mph for a 125 I would think.

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Clearances are correct. It's the timing that's a tooth off. I'm also pulling the cam to install the decompression lobe. I enjoy how easy the scoot starts normally so it will be a welcome "start" heh heh.

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Well I was wrong, I think I'm a tooth off. If I jump the PCX it will run with the throttle open but not idle. I'm going to go ahead and take the cam back out to install the decomp feature. It definetly needs it.

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
I don't see the point either.
So... My takegawa cam is installed without decompression feature and my battery doesn't have enough juice to start it. Oh well, I guess we wait for tomorrow. 8D

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Reaper,I'm in the process of installing that same cam. Your cam looks the same as mine. I think I'm going to skip the decompression feature. I have the cam in but I'm a tooth or two off still. I'm doing the install with the engine mounted in place.
