Re: Dr. Pulley & Contra spring testing
So after 1000km I installed JCosta and Athena belt. My top speed was 130. I've shortened the JCosta variator boss and installed Malossi belt and I was toping out at 132. Some km later I lost 4km/h so my PCX was doing 128. When my Malossi belt broke because of my last mod I've installed a stock varia...

Re: Dr. Pulley & Contra spring testing
Hey guys. I need a little help here. I've switched JCosta variator for my stock with the variator boss a lot shorter just to see... Bad thing to do!! A few km in highway my Malossi belt broke!! Took my PCX to my home and installed the JCosta again with Athena belt that has some km on it but is new s...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Glad to know that the little PCX is performing well! Just a little question Pcxdemon, I've tried my little konic filter with no air box and what a diference. For now I'll keep the air box with it inside but not for to long because I loved the way the pcx performed. The question is: there is a small ...

Re: variators so whats the best?
I don't think it's my case but could be wrong... In my opinion and for what I can feel from the PCX it's like the engine isn't producing more power and probably is decreasing like over 9000rpm and only with some help like downhill, etc, etc can go faster. The others I saw can reach more easy 120kph ...

Re: variators so whats the best?
I don't really know. When I bought my PCX a lot of persons told me that JCosta variator it's a good vario. True since it is very fast until 80kph or almost 50mph. After that it has a flat spot on acceleration until 100kph or so and then to 110 and that's it. After that to reach 120 or 130kph only wi...

Re: variators so whats the best?
I know. So in miles per hour I cant reach 74 on flats and my top speed It's 80 and the limiter kick's in but only downhill. I'm looking for a vario that is already tuned for this purpose or can maintain 74 on the powerband.

Re: Diferent varios opinion
I only add some weight to six of the JCosta sliders and use that ones so the total mass can be 90gr but I've had to go again to 12 sliders with 8.5 each one cause the PCX before 40kph over rev a lot if I give it full throttle. After 40kph it's ok but I didn't liked it. I read a lot on the internet s...

Diferent varios opinion
Someone have tested different varios? I have JCosta in the moment and I'm thinking to try Polini. I don't know if it's true but it seems that with this vario the PCX is faster after 100kph. What do you think? I'm really happy with mine in this moment but I just want to know if I will obtain somethin...

Re: Yuminashi Pcx 164cc
Thanks for the reply. After the torque spring change the PCX turned a litle demon!!! And yesterday I did a small mod on the JCosta vario. I modified the sliders so the total could be 90 grams. What a diference!!! If I'm at 40kph and accelerate just a bit what a boost!!! The engine rev's fast and pow...

Re: Yuminashi Pcx 164cc
Awsome!! Just a question about the camshaft. It can be installed on stock 125 bore with the Yumi valve springs only? Or I have to buy also the big bore? Another question is due to a smell of gazoline I note in mine when starting cold. I may have a small conic filter and that's why. Keep going with t...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
Yes but we allways want more right? Loool
I'll try 8gr sliders in JCosta vario. In the moment I use 8.5g. Just to see if it drop even less rpm when start to uphill.

Re: Variator for 125
I advice to install a Polini Torque spring. I've installed mine yesterday and huge diference when you start to uphill. MCosta, the guy in the last video, had Polini vario with Dr. Pulley sliders on it and the torque spring or full clutch... I know that he shortened the vario boss and other secrets I...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
Spring installed and loved it! I feel it more powerfull at 80kph. For example going at 80 and I have a lot of throttle to use. Didn't made any uphill since I only came to work but good mod to PCX! On flat in the same road that I do all days almost hit 120 kph but today it's very windy! A lot more th...

Re: Worth to update to pcx 150 2014 2015 ?
Of course they tweaked. It's in the specs for everyone. 2014 model max torque até 8500 rpm and in mine it's at 8000 for example.

Re: Worth to update to pcx 150 2014 2015 ?
I've tested 2 days ago the 125 and the only thing I didn't like is the rear lights! Top speed is less than 2012/2013 model but it felt more powerfull at 80kph. For example you are cruising at 80kph and twist the throttle you will feel the bike pull. On mine from 2013 at 80 I twist the throttle, the ...

Obvious but you only have noise when you accelerate and exhaust it's allways there even at idle.
