Re: Valve check every 5,000 miles??
I asked a Honda dealer, they said they don't check it until 5k or 10k, cant remember what they said but it wasn't under 5k. Tbh, I use to worry but now since I've had it for a year from new, I know what to expect from its sound/ride/feel and its not changed much since new. Long as it doesn't rattle ...

Re: PCX125 buzzing sound, very annoying
no it wasnt resolved however i think i found whats causing it. if you look where the bike side stand is, behind that is a thick plastic tube/cable that goes from your rear brakes to the front somewhere. I think its that which is causing the sound as when i wiggle it, it almost makes that sound. i've...

Re: Average fuel per bar?
The bars are just a rough indication, i always go by the miles done since the daily commute distance are similar. I do approx 20-30 miles a day a few long stretch of roads then i hit the city. I get on average 110-115 mpg (UK MPG), it rarely ever touches 60mph, 50-ish max and this is for 10 secs on ...

Re: Average fuel per bar?
On full tank first bar lasts approx 40-50 miles then drops approx 10 miles per bar.
The last bar flashes approx 120-125, i've had 136 miles out of it before and it still had another 0.6 litre left.
To play it safe, fill up when you are on the last bar or when you are low.

Re: moped/scooter/motorbike ?
I just say bike, if they ask what type, i say scooter because thats what it is.
Not really embarassing, its a bike for commuting, most of us have full license so we're not on it because we're restricted lol.

Re: School boy error after only 250 miles!
Hi all, since reading this and never had an issue I actually got the same this morning but probably figured out why. I parked my bike up at work, idle stop kicked in, i normally then turn the key off but i just got off to give it a re-tweak at the parking, touched the throttle and the bike came aliv...

Re: Idle Stop Accident
maybe when he was pushing the bike the seat had something heavy enough to press the switch? otherwise the seat has sagged enough to always engage it.
the only time i need to push the bike is when i get home, i need my keys to open the garage door so the bike is off anyway.

Re: derestricting
I think the general answer is theres no point, it will feel like your running it near 100% if you want top speed whereas a bigger bike will run it at say 30-40% and not feel any strain at those speeds.
a 250-400cc bike will you want you want but again no point in swapping the engines out.

Re: How long you been riding?
At what age did you buy your first bike? 21, CBT for 6 months then passed on A2, had Cagiva Mito 125 over 2 years
How many years have you actively ridden? 1825+ days
How old are you now? 27+, sold Gixer 600 K3 and got PCX.
So who is the oldest and youngest of the lot? lol

Re: Road Tax = tax paid twice?
your earning enough on high tax, we all pay it too so be happy
But truthfully, if you do wiggle out of this, another tax will introduced anyway so its a lose-lose situation.
