Re: MPG

Just had a quick look at the Kymco 300 and it would appear that the riding position is only suitable for shorter riders up to 5ft 9. I'm a little bigger than that so it may not be for me.

Re: MPG

The price difference between the bikes seems a bit disproportionate to me. The Forza looks to be 2-3k more than the PCX which is disappointing. Maybe consider other 300cc scooters. The Kymco 300's are as well made and as well reviewed as the Forza, and can be had for quite a bit less OTD. They get ...

Re: MPG

I do about 2500 miles a year. Certainly don't go to a dealer for servicing as you get ripped off.

MPG

Sorry if a thread already exists on this. I would imagine there is one but I can't find it on the first few pages. I have a Honda PCX 125 and I'm thinking of upgrading it to a Forza 300. The cost of running the bike is always my major consideration and I'm particularly interested in MPG so what I wo...

Re: Battery issues

Thanks for the replies. My journey to work is about 15 mins - about 6 miles. Unfortunately I don't have a garage so it stays outside. However, it was outside all of last winter and I never had any issues, always started. I think I'm going to have to invest in a charger although I can't see how I'm g...

Battery issues

I have bought a new battery for my bike as the other one packed up and the shop charged it up for me. I put it in the bike last night and the bike started with no issues. This morning however, the bike really struggled to start. It took a lot of pushing the starter button and pulling back on the thr...

Seat cover

Anybody know where I can purchase a seat cover from the UK? I have looked on eBay and having measured the seat, it appears that all the ones on there will be too small for the PCX seat which seems to be larger than standard.

Re: Battery flat - help!

How much of a clown do I feel! The garage have just come out. There is nothing wrong with the bike. I was trying to start it with the stand down!!!! I guess you forget the routine when youve not been on it for a while!

Re: Battery flat - help!

Right, Ive put a battery charger on it and the lights on the charger are green indicating that the battery is fine. Put it back in the bike and still won't start. Sadly, it would appear that it's an electrical or wiring issue. Garage are coming to collect it.

Re: Battery flat - help!

Is it possible that it could be the alternator? Considering the bike was fine 2 weeks ago when I used it last, a flat battery seems the most likely explanation.

Re: Battery flat - help!

Check your battery leads first. Your lights can come on with very little juice in the battery, and even when you have a loose battery lead they will work. If the leads are tight then it sounds like the battery is really discharged. Check any additions that connect to the battery to make sure they a...

Re: Battery flat - help!

Ive only just seen your post GN2. Just tried using jump leads from the car. No joy. The lights on the bike come on but absolutely nothing engine wise. If the lights are on, could it be that it's not the battery?

Battery flat - help!

Hi. It's only been 2 weeks since I last used my bike. I have just gone to start it and it won't start. Engine making no sound at all. I didn't think the battery would go flat after just 2 weeks of no use. Will I need to buy a new battery or will jump leads get it going again?

Idea 3: Remove hump, apply large bead of silicone sealant to edge of underside of hump, refit hump, add more sealant as required to edge around hump
Thanks for the suggestions. Im favouring idea 2

Water under seat hump issues

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I couldn't find any other threads on it. I have a 2011 pcx and I have to say it has been a godsend. Extremely reliable and has never let me down so far. However it seems to have one major flaw that drives me crackers and that is water gathering underneath...

Whereabouts on the centre stand should I be spraying? And should I have it on the centre stand or the side stand whilst doing it?

Re: Centrestand woes.... sound familiar...?

My opinion is that the centre stand mount lugs are not strong enough for the job and that this is a design/manufacturing fault. Yep, "beginning to" look like a possible Design Issue for sure.....I put 10,000+ miles on my PCX125 (have over 2000+ on the PCX150 now), but never had this issue...
