Re: I walked outside and saw this

We haven't had one die yet and they have drug snakes up to door. But we mainly have non venomous snakes here in north louisiana in the area we are. Our backyard is mainly sandy but occasionally we will see a baby rattler or copperhead that is dead but we don't kill the king snakes. They will kill t...

Re: I walked outside and saw this

Well, I can't figure out a harmless way of keeping them off your vehicles. Have you thought about a Rottweiler, for example? . Now seriously, ask a Vet. There's a chance that some kind of repellent is available, or you might even be able to make it at home. I'd spray it around my vehicles and ...

Re: Idle stop worries

My first tank of gas I ran the pcx without idle stop to get used to it. After that I used idlestop and once used to it after a couple of commutes, think its brilliant. Its so nice waiting at lights in tranquility and no vibrations it reduces stress ;) I agree that it is a nice feature of the PCX, b...

Re: Idle stop worries

You have just described the symptoms I had before my battery died. Sorry for the bad news. I got mine replaced under warranty because the dealer accepted to replace it. Honda Spain had actually refused to do so. Now I don't use the idle stop any longer. The engine is quiet enough at traffic lights a...

Re: Wider Tires

The ther day I spent some time with a tyre comparison chart and it looks impossible to fit wider tyres to the PCX without altering the gearing. Those of you who have should have a longer gearing now. How has that affected the performance and handling of the bike?.

Re: weather in Britain

I don't know if that helps, YY  ... But now I can understand why so many people from the north of Europe head south for retirement  . I love it over here and prefer it over the south for a good number of reasons, but too much rain is too much rain. Guess I need to dry out some ;) .

Re: Windscreen - Ermax vs. Givi?

Cas - If you would have to look through the windshield, it would probably be an issue. However, i am only 5'9" and i can see over fine. The wind definately stays off of your chest/shoulder section now, but at my height, it hits me good in the ears. Will take a little getting used to. But overa...

Thanks!. I asked because my PCX is black too. If that one is the "light black", then I'll order the regular one. It looks good, but IMHO, perhaps it would look better with a bit less of dark in the windshield.

But... what exactly happened to your fork legs, GN2?. Are they bent, rusty or what's the problem?.

I'd like to see a photo of them, if you don't mind ;) .

It does look good. I'll be soon removing my short Givi, putting it for sale and ordering the tall Ermax for next fall.

Question is, which one of the available colour options did you choose?.

Re: weather in Britain

You've just opened the can of worms talking about weather :| . Yesterday, at night, we had 12 miserable degrees (Celsius) where I live. I was out walking my two Yorkshire Terriers and I was COLD. In bloody June :x . We had the rainiest winter I can recall. In fact, we had the rainiest winter since t...

Re: Like these helmets?

I am a full face or flip-up modular helmets guy. Don't like the jets. Though I can't consider myself as a handsome guy  , I'll try my best to avoid being uglier and keep my teeth in place. This said, modular=noisy. Earplugs when riding or driving are stupidly illegal in this country, so you're ...

Re: Video: Emergency Mid-Corner Braking on a PCX

For the PCX I would say straighten the bike up, in the dry pull the left lever as hard as you can possibly pull it and apply modulated pressure to the right lever at the same time. In the wet less pressure on the left applying it first before applying the right. Remember that picking it up and brak...

Re: Windscreen - Ermax vs. Givi?

I have the short Givi. Will be putting her for sale shortly, stay with the stock screen for the summer, and ordering the Ermax +25 after summer. The short Givi looks nice and will get the worst of the wind off your chest, but it creates some serious buffeting that combined with my cheapo modular hel...

Why is it a 'she' and not a 'he'? I think ALL vehicles, boats, cars etc are all she's. Ive never understood why. And I guess English is the language you were brought up with :D . Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS

I sat on the Kymco downtown 300i and the Sym Maxsym 400i. The Maxsym seat bump can move back and forth a couple of inches and even better can come right off for very tall folk like me! It wa really comfy without the bump! I think they are the same price here in Oz so I am leaning to the Maxsym as a...

Re: Battery went flat today

Getting a battery charger is not a bad idea, Lynny. I usually do short commutes, ten to fifteen minutes on the bike, and do a few of those every day. I have stopped using the idle stop for the moment and will use it during hot summer days only (provided that we get a decent summer in the miserably r...

Re: Battery went flat today

you you wrote:Isn't the contract with the dealer in the first instance and its them that need to make it good
That's correct, but it's not the dealer the one who fitted the bike with a faulty battery ;), nor they knew there was a bad batch of batteries. Therefore, they shouldn't be responsible for it.
