Re: Sym Jet 100
Got myself a Finepix S3200 14m 24x optical zoom with superwide lens and 10cm Macro. On sale at Asda .
That plus the Laptop only came to just over £400. So overall I'm a happier Bunny at the minute.

Re: Sym Jet 100
I'm back!!! Finally got everything moved and sorted, got settled in and last night the phone rang about the SYM. Today at 12.30 we parted company, him taking the SYM, half a bottle of 2 stroke, a chain and lock(with all 3 keys) and me with £400 in my pocket and a little bit happier. :) So I we...

Re: Sym Jet 100
I've been up so long now I got used to it.
Back on Topic. Put the Sym up on Gumtree 2 days ago and haven't had anyone ringing or emailing about it yet.
Guess it could be on there for a while which is a shame as I could do with the money for a new PC when I finally move out later today!

Re: Sym Jet 100
Come on guys be realistic the Mafia!? and Satan? - They're less of a pain. The real culprits are the Government - they set the rules by which insurance is governed and meted out to the public. I'm just glad it's only £30 extra for the year (not monthly). I deliberately waited to move until the...

Re: Sym Jet 100
It's not that she isn't getting much use, but when I move out at the weekend my new home only has enough room for one bike under cover and even that's a pain to get it parked. Plus the bloody insurance is goning up on the PCX because it won't be in a garage but a shed complete with "rich unbust...

Re: Servicing
Running a CBT at the minute (A2 test just over 2 months away.) The dealership I use said they don't supply Courtesy bikes to anyone. they said the same thing about being a dealership - It's been hurting them for a few years with the recession biting sales locally. When I got my PCX last March they h...

They are a business listing so might take it, especially considering it's been round on Ebay twice already.
Failing that whats wrong with the original?

Servicing
Well my PCX finally reached 2500 miles last week so booked her in for servicing. The guys at the dealership were great. Dropped it off at 9.30am and picked it up at 4.15pm. Everything was fine except for the valve clearance on the inlet, it was a little bit tight so they sorted it out - they did not...

Re: Sym Jet 100
Well Ratty is going up for sale as soon as possible, going to be cheeky and ask £550 for her as she has had some work been tidied up and serviced and will sell with 10 months Tax and Test on, especially with only 3056 miles on her!

Righty ho Woozy! It was me that pointed this out the first time round - It's still available and still on Ebay under the original listing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-PCX-125-ENGINE-BELT-COVER-CASING-2010-/260942478761?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3cc1623da9 For anyone else looking to see...

Re: Diesel + Road + Darkness = Off into the scenery
I'm fine, it was dayliht so could see clearlyso reduced speed and rode appropriately for the conditions. I agree with GN2 as well, width and pattern play a small part towards grip, compound is the main factor. On a scoot or bike you want the best compromise of all round grip and longevity. You could...

Re: Are LED valve lights legal? (in the UK)
Any lights on your vehicle that aren't complient with the Law (clear front, red rear/Brake, amber/orange indicators) and you could be asking for trouble, it only takes one of her majestys finest police officers to be having a rare off day and you could be getting points and a fine. However I can't s...

Re: Diesel + Road + Darkness = Off into the scenery
Well on the way home tonight same stretch of road plashed down for over 400 yards with diesel everywhere. Have figured out it's one of 3 things: 1. Local recovery lorry overfilling and leaving the depot in a hurry. 2. Said lorry returning with a knackered write off leaking diesel. 3. One the farmers...
