Re: Scooter Insurance Underwriters

I'm going to be needing to get some insurance on my new PCX this spring in order to get my plate for the scooter. Since we're not talking auto or full fledged motorcycles here, but rather scooters, I'd like to query the forum about any pitfalls you may have encountered in dealing with scooter insur...

Re: PCX mods

Hi Timpo, The Honda FORZA pictures you posted in the Forza section were 100 times better :D It make these little PCX projects look like they were done by a first grade school class.... Everyone should go look at the Forza pictures, the work some people put into those is absolutely incredible. Mike

Re: Forza mods

I would have never thought that people would be doing so much work to the Honda Forza, they are just not that popular.... Some of those are truly incredible. The ones that are 1/10 of an inch from the ground are nothing more than artwork, as they could never be ridden. Where were these bikes at ??? ...

Re: Lump Of Coal For Christmas

Hi Dave, It is 82 degrees here ( 28 Celsius ) and I have the air conditioner going. I would prefer for it a bit warmer to ride, but this temperature is rideable :D I never leave the house when it is below 75 degrees ( 24 Celsius ), although it is possible to ride, I never pick the ONE cold day when ...

Lump Of Coal For Christmas

All I wanted for Christmas this year as an updated 2017 Honda Forza, Keyless, LED Lights, maybe 16 inch wheels, but all I found on Hondas website was a lump of coal....

Re: Help! my PCX keyless remote no response...

Hi Doletotodole, Let us know when you find out what it is... I think it would be pretty hard to find service for a PCX in China since they do not sell them there ? I will still cover all the simple things first, loose cable somewhere, battery that has voltage, but will not put out enough AMPS, etc. ...

Re: Hearing Impaired & Scooters

In the civilised world we still have pianos. There isn't really an alternative unless you can't appreciate the difference. So they need tuning, not replacing or testing. Hi You You, First, your Avitar is the best one ever, it puts a smile on my face every time I see it !!!! I am more of a technical...

Re: 1000 miles

As always, YMMV. Pax et bonum, Michael wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Wow, thanks for the very complete information !!! All my bikes are much newer, so the conclusion I would draw is that Honda has corrected the speedometer accuracy on their newer motorcycles and scooters. I ...

Re: 1000 miles

Does a phone GPS and a dedicated GPS use a different data system?(satellite vs mast based signal). Hi DAB, Modern phones have a built in GPS receiver that uses the exactly same satellite system as a dedicated GPS does. Cell phone location by tower triangulation will NEVER give you speed, and is ver...

Re: 2016 pcx 150 ticking noise

Anyone else up for a free character assessment? We now appear to have a resident psychiatrist. :D :D :D Sometimes, people need to be set straight, and be told the hard truth. Being careful, paying attention to details is good. Paranoia and worrying about everything to the the point of it being an o...

Re: i still hate this about my pcx

I'm big time ocd about oil level It cant be slanted THAT MUCH. FIRST: The oil stick should NOT be screwed in to measure the level. Very common mistake... I assume you have this right, but just in case :D 2. Use a little care and skill, clean the stick before inserting, and you can get a perfect rea...

Re: Help! my PCX keyless remote no response...

Hi Doletotodole,

The most likely problems:

1. Check for loose battery cable, very easy and quick.

2. Maybe your battery is defective ( It happens even in new batteries sometimes ).

The charging system could have a problem but much less likely.

Re: Help! my PCX keyless remote no response...

The poster here tells everyone here that there is a problem with the keyless start or remote which I believe to be TOTALLY WRONG. The problem sounds like a weak battery, or loose battery cable , that does not have enough power to start the bike, but has enough power some of the other things that dra...

Re: New PCX owner

I love this forum, we all seem to be on the same page. I have ridden "real" motorcycles with their shifting, harsh suspension and hand numbing vibrations. In short I didn't like them, my Honda helix was so much smoother than a motorcycle and now my Honda PCX. Gil Hi Gil, Your rode the wro...

Re: New PCX owner

Hi all. I have had my PCX 125 for just over two weeks a brand new 2016 model. Hi Hax, Small and light is so much fun ! More relaxing and while not to be taken lightly, much less chance of getting hurt. If you drop a small bike, usually a non event :D One question, why get the PCX125 ? I would defin...

Its not a dirt bike ;)
I do not know about the FORZA, but the Honda SH150i with its huge 16 inch wheels makes a pretty good dirt bike :D

Re: 1000 miles

On the VFR and the Wing, the speedo and odo were both off by about 6-7% according to (respectively) the "your current speed" radar signs and the mileage markers along the side of the highway. These are the real-world measurements I have used, and what I have observed on my own. YMMV, Mich...

[quote="Jge64"I frankly think you're worrying too much about every little thing you're hearing, you posted a few times on what you hear and feel, and it may be real or just overthinking. [/quote] I went to a Honda dealer today and they told me they didn't hear any ticking. They told me wit...
