Re: 50/50 Tires for PCX?
I've said it before and i'll say it again... bigger tires will work better off road(gravel etc.). I've gone up dirt trails with the big tires that I couldn't make with the stock tires. (deeper wider grooves I suppose) 8) But I would like to get some knobbier/more aggressive yet still streetable tire...

Turn signals. Who needs 'em? Apparently I'm just going to be honking to alert people that I intend to turn. I'm not sure why Honda decided to flip the position of those two buttons. I guess they just wanted to be different than every other cycle. The horn is not loud enough. I will be looking into ...

Re: K&N Air filter Installation and Performance Analysis
When I installed my pod, it did nothing but increase noise (no performance losses though).
Adding an open exhaust gave me a boost however..., but I had the pod on before the exhaust so not sure if it was the exhaust alone?

Re: CVT mods for PCX 150?
I don't know what to say about home's testing... unless his rev limiter kicked in earlier or something. Back when I was testing my sliders I remember I could get to a certain speed on the stand... then I went out in the real world and did some speed testing and most of the time I could reach that sa...

Re: CVT mods for PCX 150?
Yes it works for me just fine. I just took the cover off and examined the belt... absolutely no wear on the belt and no gouges/scrapes where it might touch the cover, I could still see all the painted on numbers on the belt etc. Also with the rollers I could do 80(speedo) on the stand, with the sli...

that sucks... 100km was also your stock top speed right?glennix wrote:So I've got the j.costa vario and the acceleration is improved but the topspeed is still 100 km/h.

Re: CVT mods for PCX 150?
That works for you? How long have you used the Yumi vario with the sliders? As I recall, one member insists his belt was shredded because of that combo. Something to do with the belt rubbing against the back of the case. If the Yuminashi variator(or any other) already pushes the belt as far out as ...

MCJohnny I have only tried the 12g rollers(okay on the flats) and the 12g sliders... still using the sliders(way better for the hills and everywhere else). homie :? ;) Mel... It's been like 2 years just buy a variator already... I don't think you will need a crush washer... many of us are not...

Yes. that is where I bought mine back in july.
If it is in stock they will ship it fast, and that is the right color.

Alrighty, so I took her for a little spin about 25 miles away from Honolulu to Kaneohe along the H3(60 mph speed limit, fastest zone on the island). On flat roads I'd say she can go about 70-75 mph if there's enough room up ahead to accelerate. On the windy uphill valley I was pulling about 60 mph,...

Re: Experimental report of a trip through Thailand
You You, What an absolute asshole you are. It sure seemed like combat to me. During one eleven day campaign, we had 15 B-52s shot down. One of those B-52 crew members who was killed had been my college room mate. He had just married a Thai girl a few days before he was killed. I suspect that a lot ...

Re: Biggest Tire.
Thanks Homie, thinking of going the same route. Love the look! Comparison pic is awsome. The narrow rims on the PCX will pull the HUGE appearance of an un-mounted tire in considerably. I've dropped back tire pressure for front and rear about 4-psi each recently from the suggested and found a more co...

ICEMAN if you would like your side stand to be longer... weld a washer or two to the bottom of it... so easy.
You might even be able to get a muffler shop to do it for free.

Re: The Best Variator, Pulley, Drive face Set
Just use the stock variator with 12 gram Dr. Pulley Sliders.( faster accel and a top speed increase of 1 to 2 mph).
Or just about any aftermarket variator should be good for a 10mph gain.
I'm using the Yuminashi v.2013 speedboost variator and dp 12g sliders for my 13 150 and I like it.
